Examining the Impact of eWOM-triggered Customer-to-Customer Interactions on Travelers’ Repurchase and Social Media Engagement

2021

Electronic word-of-mouth (eWOM) communication on social media has revolutionized how travelers search for and share information and how they interact with one another digitally. This research examines the effects of eWOM-triggered customer-to-customer (C2C) interactions on travelers’ post-eWOM behaviors (i.e., repurchase and customer engagement) in a cross-cultural context. Drawing upon cognitive dissonance theory, a scenario-based experiment was conducted using a sample of 461 African tourists with recent intracontinental travel experience. Our findings suggest that a customer’s repurchase intention and engagement in social media C2C interactions are significantly influenced when their eWO…

Emotional Dissonance in workplaces: dierences between jobs and perceived well-being

Theoretical background. The connection between work-related stress and psychosocial risks and workers’ health and safety has been confirmed in a wide range of studies all over the world. According EU-OSHA (2016), "while acknowledging the role of individual dispositions and general life circumstances, it has been shown that stress stemming from work-related factors may significantly affect workers’ functioning in and outside work". According with a recent EU-OSHA research, among the sources of major stress there is some connected to emotional regulation, such as "having to deal with difficult customers, patients, pupils, etc. (58%) or "poor communication or cooperation within the organisatio…

The Effect of Emotional Dissonance and Mental Load on Need for Recovery and Work Engagement among Italian Fixed-Term Researchers

Use-wear analysis applied in a dissected palimpsest at the Middle Palaeolithic site of El Salt (eastern Iberia): working with lithic tools in a narro…

2023

The importance of phytoplankton production for carbon budgets in a semiarid floodplain wetland

2011

Phytoplankton production (PP) in wetlands is not measured as often as that of macrophytes. A three year-study during a period of sustained high flooding was undertaken in a central Spanish floodplain wetland (Las Tablas de Daimiel National Park) to determine net PP, its spatial heterogeneity and controlling factors, and compare it with primary production in macrophyte communities. This enabled us to estimate carbon budgets for each community. All PP variables showed high spatial and temporal variability among sites, resulting in low coherence even when flooding connected all sites. Net PP corresponded to 25- 36% of submerged plant production and 3-10% of helophyte production. Net PP was con…

Browning-induced changes in trophic functioning of planktonic food webs in temperate and boreal lakes: insights from fatty acids

2022

AbstractThe effects of lake browning on trophic functioning of planktonic food webs are not fully understood. We studied the effects of browning on the response patterns of polyunsaturated fatty acids and n−3/n−6 ratio in seston and compared them between boreal and temperate lakes. We also compared the regional differences and the effects of lake browning on the reliance of zooplankton on heterotrophic microbial pathways and the mass fractions of eicosapentaenoic acid (EPA) and docosahexaenoic acid (DHA) in zooplankton. Lake browning was associated with increasing phytoplankton biomass and concentrations of EPA and DHA in both temperate and boreal lakes, but the seston n−3/n−6 ratio was low…

Skutki śmierci wszystkich wspólników spółki jawnej w spółce przewidującej wstąpienie do niej spadkobierców

2021

Pursuant to Art. 58 § 1 point 4 of the Code of Commercial Companies dissolution of a general partnership results in the death of the partner of the general partnership. The dissolution of a general partnership starts the process of its liquidation, unless the partners agree on a different method of terminating its activity. The provision of art. 58 § 1 point 4 of the Code of Commercial Companies however, it is a dispositive legal norm, which means that the articles of association of a general partnership may stipulate that the death of a partner is not a basis for its termination. With the death of all partners, the general partnership undoubtedly becomes a kind of real hybrid. The represen…
