PERITRAUMATIC FACTORS AND POSTTRAUMATIC SYMPTOMS IN CHILD SEXUAL ABUSE CASES
2017
Health and legal professionals are aware of adverse effects child sexual abuse (CSA) can have on child development as well as the individual differences in severity of psychological outcomes. The objective of this pilot study was to identify possible explanations that could account for the CSA psychological outcome variability and give insights for further research. A sample of 25 Russian speaking girls by the decision of the person directing the proceedings were recognized as CSA victims and were assigned to psychological or complex psychiatric and psychological expert examination. During examination demographical data was collected and several self-report measures regarding peritraumatic …
Experimental and theoretical studies of the molecular and crystal structures of trialkoxy- and chlorodialkoxy-stibanes
2001
The molecular structures of triisopropoxystibane, Sb((OPr)-Pr-i)(3), and chlorodiisopropoxystibane, SbCl((OPr)-Pr-i)(2), were determined in the solid state by single crystal X-ray diffraction. Sb((OPr)-Pr-i)(3) forms discrete centrosymmetric dimers in the solid state via Sb . . .O-Sb interactions, leading to pseudo trigonal bipyramidal configurations of the four co-ordinate Sb atoms, while SbCl((OPr)-Pr-i)(2) forms chains via Sb . . .O-Sb and Sb . . . Cl-Sb bridges, resulting in five-co-ordinate Sb atoms with pseudo octahedral configurations. Comparison of the solid state structures and the density functional optimized molecular structures of Sb(OMe)(3), SbCl(OMe)(2) and their dimers reveal…
Thermal and electrochemically assisted Pd-Cl bond cleavage in the d9-d9 Pd2dppm2Cl2 complex by Pd3 dppm3COn+ clusters (n = 2, 1, 0).
2007
A new aspect of reactivity of the cluster [Pd3(dppm)3(micro3-CO)]n+, ([Pd3]n+, n = 2, 1, 0) with the low-valent metal-metal-bonded Pd2(dppm)2Cl2 dimer (Pd2Cl2) was observed using electrochemical techniques. The direct reaction between [Pd3]2+ and Pd2Cl2 in THF at room temperature leads to the known [Pd3(dppm)3(micro3-CO)(Cl)]+ ([Pd3(Cl)]+) adduct and the monocationic species Pd2(dppm)2Cl+ (very likely as Pd2(dppm)2(Cl)(THF)+, [Pd2Cl]+) as unambiguously demonstrated by UV-vis and 31P NMR spectroscopy. In this case, [Pd3]2+ acts as a strong Lewis acid toward the labile Cl- ion, which weakly dissociates from Pd2Cl2 (i.e., dissociative mechanism). Host-guest interactions between [Pd3]2+ and Pd2…

Tapping Doesn't Help : Synchronized Self-Motion and Judgments of Musical Tempo
2019
For both musicians and music psychologists, beat rate (BPM) has often been regarded as a transparent measure of musical speed or tempo, yet recent research has shown that tempo is more than just BPM. In a previous study, London, Burger, Thompson, and Toiviainen (Acta Psychologica, 164, 70–80, 2016) presented participants with original as well as “time-stretched” versions of classic R&B songs; time stretching slows down or speeds up a recording without changing its pitch or timbre. In that study we discovered a tempo anchoring effect (TAE): Although relative tempo judgments (original vs. time-stretched versions of the same song) were correct, they were at odds with BPM rates of each stimulus…
Decay pathways of small gold clusters
2001
The decay pathway competition between monomer and dimer evaporation of photoexcited cluster ions Au + n, n = 2-27, has been investigated by photodissociation of size-selected gold clusters stored in a Penning trap. For n > 6 the two decay pathways are distinguished by their experimental signature in time-resolved measurements of the dissociation. For the smaller clusters, simple fragment spectra were used. As in the case of the other copper-group elements, even-numbered gold cluster ions decay exclusively by monomer evaporation, irrespective of their size. For small odd-size gold clusters, dimer evaporation is a competitive alternative, and the smaller the odd-sized clusters, the more likel…
Computational study of the spin-forbidden H 2 oxidative addition to 16-electron Fe(0) complexes
2003
International audience; The spin-forbidden oxidative addition of H2 to Fe(CO)4, Fe(PH3)4, Fe(dpe)2 and Fe(dmpe)2 [dpe = H2PCH2CH2PH2, dmpe = (CH3)2PCH2CH2P(CH3)2] has been investigated by density functional theory using a modified B3PW91 functional. All 16-electron fragments are found to adopt a spin triplet ground state. The H2 addition involves a spin crossover in the reagents region of configurational space, at a significantly higher energy relative to the triplet dissociation asymptote and, for the case of Fe(CO)4·H2, even higher than the singlet dissociation asymptote. After crossing to the singlet surface, the addition proceeds directly to the classical cis-dihydride product. Only for…
Reversible hydrogen bond network dynamics: molecular dynamics simulations of calix[4]arene-catenanes.
2011
We present detailed molecular dynamics (MD) simulations of mechanically interlocked calix[4]arene-catenanes under external force. Single-molecule force spectroscopy experiments revealed that the separation of dimers with two aliphatic loops results in reversible hydrogen bond breakage through an intermediate in a triple-well potential, while the tetra-loop species separates in a one-step manner (Janke, M.; et al. Nat. Nanotechnol. 2009, 4, 225). MD simulations show that calix[4]arenes interlocked by four loops (1) display a complete restructuring of the hydrogen bond network under mechanical force. All hydrogen bonds of the closed structure open, and new ones are formed in the extended stru…
Dissociative charge transfer from highly excited Na Rydberg atoms to vibrationally excited Na2 molecules
2001
Abstract We report the observation of the vibrational dependence of dissociative charge transfer (DCT), Na2(X1Σg+, v″) + Na∗∗(nl) → Na− + Na + Na+, in a single Na/Na2 supersonic beam at low intrabeam collision energies (1.6 meV) using the STIRAP technique for selective vibrational excitation of Na2 in the electronic ground state and time-of-flight mass analysis of the ions. The efficiency of this process increases by about an order of magnitude in the range 13 ≤ v″ ≤ 22. Some perspectives are discussed regarding the implementation of a field-free ion-imaging technique for the detection of ions that will allow the direct determination of the kinetic energy distributions of product negative i…
Doesdarknesslead tohappiness? Masked suffix priming effects
2008
Masked affix priming effects have usually been obtained for words sharing the initial affix (e.g., re action- RE FORM). However, prior evidence on masked suffix priming effects (e.g., bak er -WALK ER ) is inconclusive. In the present series of masked priming lexical decision experiments, a target word was briefly preceded by a morphologically or orthographically related prime, or by an unrelated prime. In Experiment 1, the prime words in the suffix priming condition were formed by their suffixes (e.g., er -WALK ER ). In Experiment 2, the primes included the suffix inserted in a nonsense symbol string (e.g., %%%% er -WALK ER ). In Experiment 3, the primes were formed by a real word that shar…
