In this chapter a historical survey on the development of balances is presented, also in tabular form. The documentation of balance constructions in museums and literature is shown. The development of science museums, technical libraries, and societies which include balances is reviewed, and a list of museums which exhibit balances is given.

From Historical Silk Fabrics to Their Interactive Virtual Representation and 3D Printing

The documentation, dissemination, and enhancement of Cultural Heritage is of great relevance. To that end, technological tools and interactive solutions (e.g., 3D models) have become increasingly popular. Historical silk fabrics are nearly flat objects, very fragile and with complex internal geometries, related to different weaving techniques and types of yarns. These characteristics make it difficult to properly document them, at the yarn level, with current technologies. This contribution synthetically addresses some of the photogrammetric solutions available today in the field of architectural-archaeological survey and the related applications outcome, evaluated during both the acquisition phase of metric data than in those of effective yield of refunds infographics. Siguiendo las huellas de las cortes de 1419

Las cortes, por la importancia de sus participantes y de sus decisiones, han dejado múltiples huellas. Sus documentos, custodiados en diversos archivos, permiten seguir su rastro desde el desarrollo de las sesiones a las negociaciones paralelas. Mi objetivo, localizar las fuentes generadas por las cortes de 1419, ha puesto en evidencia las dificultades que plantea su localización, así como su distinta tipología y posibilidades. Los procesos de las cortes por su periodicidad (1348 a 1645) y homogeneidad (convocatoria, asistentes, reuniones...) son, sin duda, los más significativos para aproximarnos a la institución, al tiempo que ofrecen datos para otros estudios.
