Critical Digital Editions of Theatrical Texts: The Example of La estrella de Sevilla

This article analyses the process of creating a multilingual and multimedia critical digital edition of the text from the Spanish Golden Age La Estrella de Sevilla. It begins with a reflection on what a critical digital edition is, and then it presents different projects about digital editions of theatrical texts as well as some practical issues on the encoding of the texts included in this digital critical edition.

Building Trust on Zoom: A Workflow for Language Documentation via Videoconferencing Software

The COVID-19 pandemic affected the capacity to conduct linguistic fieldwork in person. For many fieldworkers, this meant they needed to adapt, and do so urgently. This paper discusses a language documentation workflow based entirely on the online conferencing software Zoom, in which a linguist, external to the community, establishes a new project together with a native-speaker community member. The paper describes how such a working relationship can be built online, and accounts for all the steps of the authors' Zoom-mediated workflow in detail allowing for their replication. Se explica el proceso de liofilización como método para salvar documentos dañados por el agua, realizado por primera vez en España. Tras una inundación acaecida en 1993 en la Biblioteca de la Universidad de La Laguna, se llevó a cabo la recuperación de once obras, impresas en el siglo XVIII, mediante la técnica de liofilización, que consiste en congelación y secado en cámara de vacío. For this purpose, 864 news articles referring to disruptive innovation were retrieved from the international news database Factiva. In addition, 161 academic papers including the term “disruptive innovation” were found on the Core collection of Web of Science published from 2004 until 2019. The Impact of Entry Preconditions on Student Dropout and Subject Change in Business and Economics

The proportion of students dropping out of higher education economics is remarkably high at approximately 25 % and has been constant for years. The results on the entry preconditions of dropping out and changing subjects in Bachelor’s degree programs in business and economics presented in this paper are based on a representative longitudinal study in Germany. In two survey waves, the cognitive entry preconditions and characteristics of business and economics students related to their study and learning processes were tested. The documentation form for pathohistologic findings (version III) for tumors of the maxillofacial region is presented. It is part of the site-specific documentation of the German Association of Tumor Centers (ADT). Its handling is explained by instructions which are based on the ICD-O classification and the TNM system. The prognostic relevance of the standardized documentation has already been proven by various histomorphologic investigations concerning oral and oropharyngeal cancer. By means of a multicentric observational study the German Austrian Swiss co-operative group DOSAK will develop a new prognostic model for oral and oropharyngeal cancer.
