Research on embodied aspects of clinical encounters is growing, but discussion on the premises of including embodied variables in empirical research is scarce. Studies have repeatedly demonstrated that embodied aspects of psychotherapy interaction are vital in developing a therapeutic alliance, and these should be considered to better understand the change process in psychotherapy. Why is the hypothetico-deductive (H-D) method in information systems not an H-D method?

The hypothetico-deductive (H-D) method is reported to be common in information systems (IS). In IS, the H-D method is often presented as a Popperian, Hempelian, or natural science method. However, there are many fundamental differences between what Popper or Hempel actually say and what the alleged H-D method per Hempel or per Popper means in IS. To avoid possible misunderstanding and conceptual confusion about the basic philosophical concepts, we explain some of these differences, which are not mentioned in IS literature describing the H-D model. Statistical misconceptions, awareness, and attitudes towards open science practices in Slovak psychology researchers

In the years following the reproducibility crisis in behavioral sciences, increased attention of the scientific community has been dedicated to the correct application of statistical inference and promotion of open science practices. In the present survey, we contacted psychology researchers, lecturers, and doctoral students from all universities in Slovakia and the Slovak Academy of Sciences via email. Together we re-ceived answers from 65 participants. In moltissimi Paesi del mondo il 2015 è stato un fiorire di iniziative e di attività tutte legate al suolo ed alla diffusione della sua conoscenza. La fosa pterigopalatina es una pequeña región anatómica con forma de pirámide invertida, localizada a caballo entre la base del cráneo y el macizo facial. Es un espacio pequeño y estrecho, estructuralmente complicado y de difícil accesibilidad quirúrgica. Introducción. La denervación por radiofrecuencia de los ramos mediales lumbares es uno de los tratamientos más efectivos y con más evidencia para tratar el dolor lumbar crónico de origen facetario. Hipótesis. El uso de RF fría se relaciona con una mayor mejoría en la calidad de vida y en el control del dolor en comparación con el uso de la RFC en pacientes con dolor crónico de raquis lumbar de origen facetario. Bakalaura darbā veikts pētījums par Madonas novada smilts - grants ieguves vietās iegūstamo minerālu un iežu iespējamajām reakcijām ar sārmiem betonā. Pētījuma mērķis ir noteikt potenciāli reaktīvo graudu klātesamību atradņu minerālajos materiālos, izmantojot RILEM ieteikto metodi. Lauka pētījumos apsekotas četras atradnes un ievākti smilts – grants paraugi mineroloģiski petroloģiskai analīzei. Iegūtie dati analizēti, galveno uzmanību pievēršot potenciāli reaktīvo iežu un minerālu procentuālajam sastāvam paraugos.
