2017
The Rousseau’s Melodrama, Pygmalion, first time staged in 1771 at Lyon, arrived in Naples in 1773 performed in French by a French theatrical company and with the music composed by Aspelmayr. At the same time in the kingdom of Naples, like in northern Italy and in Austria, the first Italian translations and the first attempt to change the original text in an Opera libretto put essential questions about the translation of theatrical texts and especially the change of a dramatic-musical form, a semiotic transmutation. In 1797, in Palermo, according to the historian Pitrè, was staged a Pigmalione or Pigmaglione translated perhaps by Sografi, transmuted in operatic form, put in music by Asioli o…
Approximate Bodies. Gender and Power in Early Modern Drama and Anatomy
2005
The early modern period was an age of anatomical exploration and revelation, with new discoveries capturing the imagination not only of scientists but also of playwrights and poets. Approximate Bodies examines the changing representation of the body in early modern drama and in the period’s anatomical and gynaecological treatises. The book traces a number of emblematic figurations of the body, which it sees as dramatized and rearticulated in the period’s texts: the eroticized, deformed body of the outsider, for example, or the effeminate body of the desiring male and the disfigured body parts of the desiring female. Drawing on the theories of Foucault, Derrida and Lacan and working through …
Pieśni chóru pod skreśleniem w "Zawiszy Czarnym" Juliusza Słowackiego
2019
The manuscript of the drama about Zawisza Czarny (unreleased during the poet’s life) is divided in editions and critical analyzes into two, three or four editorials in which individual scenes sometimes obtained more than one study. There are significant differences between the various editorial regarding the construction of the presented world, which is evidenced by the condition and function of the choir, present only in two out of four editors (C and D) and in different studies of one episode (D, C2 and C1). The choir (Chorus) once remains merely a retinue of the powerful spirit of the mythical Wanda (D), other times it shortens its distance from the characters and may even join their dia…
"Agezylausz" jako "Agis Spartańczyk" : nieznany odpis dramatu Juliusza Słowackiego
2016
Agis Spartańczyk (Agis the Spartan), classified in catalogues, bibliographies, and digital libraries, as an original play by Ksawery Godebski, proves to be a copy of Agezylausz Agesilaus), a late play by Juliusz Słowacki, which remained unpublished during the poet’s lifetime. The copy is not even made with Godebski’s hand, and bears no marks proving that it has been in fact written by him. It is, however, apparent, that it has been based on Słowacki’s own manuscript, as it copies its layout, which has been subject to modification in subsequent editions. At the same time it also introduces changes to the text, which at times appear to be mistakes of the copyist, while in other cases appear a…

2013
Masteroppgave i kunstfag – Universitetet i Agder 2013 This dissertation focuses on relational elements in the photographic portrait, asking how contemporaneity in the form of the relational may be reflected in the photographic portrait today, in 2013. The question is approached phenomenologically and hermeneutically, by probing the topography between art and photography theory, the work of other artists and the author’s personal artistic practice. Central theorists are Roland Barthes, Jacques Rancière and curator Nicolas Bourriaud, and referred artists are Roni Horn, Rineke Dijkstra and Nelli Palomäki. The final result will be disseminated by the exhibition Cast off - a portrait photography…

Uenighetsdramaturgier
2019
