Rock art studies are facing major technical challenges for extensive documentation. Nowadays, recording is essentially obtained from time-consuming tracing and rubbing, techniques that also require a high level of expertise. Recent advances in 3D modelling of natural objects and computational treatment of the modelled surfaces may provide an alternative, and reduce the current documentation bottleneck. El objetivo de este estudio analiza las interrelaciones entre la música, la proporción áurea y la arquitectura helénica, aplicado al Erecteión. Al establecer las ligazones existentes entre ambas manifestaciones artísticas actualizamos la máxima de Spengler que vinculaba el arte de las matemáticas con la música y las artes plásticas. A corpus of drawings attributable to the seventeenth and eighteenth centuries, and preserved in the Diocesan archive of Mdina, allows us to better understand the reconstruction of the Cathedral of Malta after the earthquake of 1693, which damaged the medieval building. This had already been interested, a few years earlier, bu some works that had affected the presbytery area. In the present work, we try to provide some understanding about the factors underlying the directional tendencies, by examining the impact of biomechanical constraints and cultural habits on directionality in graphic movements. French and Syrian subjects, children and adults, were compared in six experiments in order, to put in evidence the cognitive and psychomotor differences caused by the fact that the Eastern and Western cultures oppose on the directionality of writing and reading habits, and that the two hands are opposite in the directionality by adopting movements determined by biomechanical constraints. OBJECTIVE We have developed a highly interactive virtual environment that enables collaborative examination of stereoscopic three-dimensional (3-D) medical imaging data for planning, discussing, or teaching neurosurgical approaches and strategies. MATERIALS AND METHODS The system consists of an interactive console with which the user manipulates 3-D data using hand-held and tracked devices within a 3-D virtual workspace and a stereoscopic projection system. The projection system displays the 3-D data on a large screen while the user is working with it.
