La formation professionnelle est rarement abordée du point de vue de la personne qui se forme. Pourquoi et comment des salariés se décident-ils à suivre une formation financée par leur employeur ? De nombreux témoignages recueillis dans dix-sept entreprises mettent en évidence la persistance de certaines inégalités au détriment des femmes : une moindre diversité des stages, une plus grande proportion d'actions de courte durée et peu diplômantes, un moindre accès à la formation notamment pour le personnel ouvrier, mais aussi un manque de propositions et d'informations et, un certain oubli des contraintes familiales dans l'organisation des stages.

Independent component and canonical correlation analysis are two general-purpose statistical methods with wide applicability. In neuroscience, independent component analysis of chromatic natural images explains the spatio-chromatic structure of primary cortical receptive fields in terms of properties of the visual environment. Canonical correlation analysis explains similarly chromatic adaptation to different illuminations. But, as we show in this paper, neither of the two methods generalizes well to explain both spatio-chromatic processing and adaptation at the same time. Transition to superfluidity in liquid 4He

In this work the transition from normal liquid helium I to superfluid liquid helium II, controlled by temperature and pressure, is studied in the simplified assumption of absence of viscosity. A macroscopic thermodynamical model is presented, which chooses as new independent fields the heat flux q and a phase field function f. For the heat flux a modification of Cattaneo equation is written, while for the function f a time dependent Ginzburg-Landau equation is proposed.
Phase transition and lambda-line in liquid helium

A hydrodynamical model describing the superfluid phase transition of 4He close to $\lambda$-line is presented. In the work, which generalizes a phase field model of lambda transition previously formulated by the same authors, the independent fields are the density, the temperature, the velocity, the heat flux and a scalar function $f$, linked to the modulus of the wave-function $\psi$, solution of the Ginzburg-Landau equation. In this framework, the heat flux is given by a modified Maxwell-Cattaneo equation. Radio-frequency thermal ablation (RFTA) of small hepatocellular carcinoma in patients with cirrhosis. Experience at a single tertiary referral center

AIM: Radio-frequency thermal ablation (RFTA) may prolong the survival of patients with small hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) associated with cirrhosis. The aim of this study was to evaluate efficacy and safety of RFTA. METHODS: We performed the Kaplan-Meier analysis to estimate the survival rate in 69 consecutive patients with HCC (mean age 66+/-6.5 years; 44/25 male/female; 56 Child-Pugh class A and 13 Child-Pugh class B) treated by RFTA. A single lesion was observed in 60/69 (87%), two lesions in 8/69 (11.6 %), and 3 lesions in 1/69 (1.4 %) of patients. The tumor size was = or <3 cm in 60/69 (87%). International guidelines suggest ultrasound surveillance for hepatocellular carcinoma (HCC) early diagnosis in liver cirrhosis (LC) patients, but 40% of nodules <2 cm escape detection. We investigated the existence of an ultrasound pattern indicating a higher risk of developing HCC in patients under surveillance. 359 patients with LC (Child-Pugh A-B8) underwent ultrasound screening (median follow-up 54 months, range 12–90 months), liver function tests, alpha-fetoprotein assay, and portal hypertension evaluation. Times of narration and narration of the time in Piove all’insù · The article hosts an analysis of the time categories in Luca Rastello’s novel Piove all’insù (2006). In the first section there is a survey of the verb tenses used in the narration of the past by the main character (who is also the narrator). These tenses contribute to make the two periods of time (the 1970s and the 2000s) constantly overlap each other. A second section is dedicated to the influence of the peculiar timeframes on the anti-utopian and pseudo-science-fictional gradient of the novel.
