Master's thesis in Psychosocial health (ME504) The topic of the study is the method called «Taking up one`s worries» (in Norwegian «Å ta opp uro», shortened to TOU). Professionals working with children, young people and families are taught this method to address the subjective concerns they have with those involved, at an early stage, in order to encourage dialogue and co-operation. The purpose of the study is to acquire new understanding from the experience gained in working systematically using this method, and implementing it in mental health work within the community. The patients have been in treatment for a long time and had a lot of physical discomfort before starting treatment.
