National audience; We analyse the emergence of scattered residential development, a key characteristic of sprawl. We analyse a 2D urban economic model with neighbourhood interactions among households (social contacts) and with farmers (who produce green amenities). Starting from a cross-shaped road network and CBD, we analytically establish the existence and characteristics of residential leapfrogging that breaks up the compact development of the city. A rescue excavation in 2003 resulted in the discovery of a building on piles, constructed between two sections of ditch, of which the one on the north side has an entrance. The chronological data of the building and two ditches match and demonstrate the existence of cults during La Tène C2. Evidence of the cults is given by a small quantity of deliberately mutilated weapons, as has been found in other La Tène sanctuaries. Dating the creation of the enclosure is problematicaln but it probably derives from La Tène C1. The issue of lethal autonomous weapons systems (laws) goes to the heart of the debate on new warfare technologies: States, international organizations, non-governmental organizations and civil society at large have long been discussing the acceptability of ‘autonomous killing’. The present contribution zooms in on the position held by the Holy See, exploring its content and the main arguments which support the call of a ban on such technology. Both diplomatic statements and doctrinal teachings will be tackled. Abstract We analyse the time sequences of major evolutionary leaps at various scales, from the scale of the global tree of life, to the scales of orders and families such as sauropod dinosaurs, North American fossil Equidae, rodents, and primates including the Hominidae. In each case we find that these data are consistent with a log- periodic law to high level of statistical significance. Such a law is characterized by a critical epoch of convergence Tc specific to the lineage under consideration and that can be interpreted as the end of that lineage's capacity to evolve.
Radiological assessment of peri-implant bone loss: a 12-month retrospective study

Introduction: Following dental implant loading, marginal bone loss after one year must be evaluated to check correct maintenance of the bone levels. Objectives: To assess implant treatment success and quantify marginal bone loss 6 and 12 months after loading. Material and method: Sixty-one MIS® implants with a 1.8 mm machined neck were placed in 26 patients. Implant success was based on the criteria of Buser. Radiological controls were made 6 and 12 months after loading, measuring bone loss mesial and distal. Bakalaura darba tēma ir „Iedzīvotāju ienākuma nodokļa maksāšanas pienākuma atbilstība sociāli atbildīgas valsts principam Latvijā.” Šāda darba tēma tika izvēlēta, jo Latvijas sabiedrība arvien vairāk noslāņojas pēc ienākumu līmeņa, un iedzīvotāji nespēj apmierināt savas pamatvajadzības, savukārt valsts budžeta ieņēmumi no iedzīvotāju ienākuma nodokļa katru gadu palielinās, veidojot būtisku daļu no kopējiem valsts budžeta ieņēmumiem. Līdz ar to prima facie liekas, ka iedzīvotājiem vispirms ir jānodrošina ieņēmumi valstij, lai tā var izpildīt funkcijas, un tikai tad iedzīvotāji var apmierināt savas pamatvajadzības.
