Darba būtība bija parādīt to, ka pastāv negatīva saikne uz cilvēkkapitālu ekonomikas lejupslīdes laikā. Cycling behavior remains a key issue for explaining several traffic causalities occurring every day. However, recent studies have shown how the assessment of the own safety-related behaviors on the road may substantially differ from how third parties assess them. Thus, the aim of this study was to evaluate the differences between cyclists’ self-reported behavior and the proxy-reported behavior that other (non-cyclist) road users perceive from bike riders. The open reading frame of the first intron of the mitochondrial cox1 gene (cox1I1) was expressed in Escherichia coli. The putative intron-encoded protein stimulated the formation of intra-chromosomal lac +-recombinants about threefold. No stimulation was found when the reading frame was inserted in the opposite direction, or when it was interrupted by a deletion. The intronic open reading frame did not complement recA − or recB − mutants of E. coli. In S. pombe, elimination of this intron did not abolish homologous recombination in mitochondria. A possible role of the recombinase activity in yeast mitochondria will be discussed.

Policies adopted by the governance of the EMU during the financial and Covid crises display a clear gap between the “form” and the “substance” of the institutional architecture of title VIII of the TFEU. It is submitted that this architecture is in sharp contrast with the European constitutional tradition. Furthermore, the traditional view is rejected, according to which the EU Commission and Council, as well as the ECB, are devoid of binding powers in the field of economic policy. Some reflections concerning both methodological implications of the foregoing and its possible effects on the European integration process are finally developed
