Educational Robotics to develop of executive functions visual spatial abilities, planning and problem solving
2018
Educational robotics is an innovative learning tool that offers students the opportunities to develop higher-order thinking skills. This research aims to verify the effectiveness of educational robotics on the mental processes of planning and problem solving. Robotics education involved in a curricular laboratory (10 meetings, two hours each, once a week) with 15 children, attending their fifth year at primary school. The proposed methodology was divided into three phases: Pre-test, Practice and Post-Test. The main finding was a significant improvement in visuo-spatial attention and a significant effect on robot programming skills. These data provide scientific support to the hypothesis tha…

I disturbi specifici dell'apprendimento della lettura. Interpretazioni teoriche, processo diagnostico e modelli di intervento
2016

Naming speed, automatic inhibition and effortful inhibition in a working memory task in children with arithmetic learning difficulties.
2008
We report a study aimed at investigating rate of access to numerical and non-numerical information in long-term memory and functioning of automatic and effortful cognitive inhibition processes in children with Arithmetical Learning Disabilities (ALD). A group of children with ALD, of age 10,3 years, and a group of gender-age-matched controls were involved in the study. Rate of access was measured through digit- and letter- naming tasks, automatic cognitive inhibition was measured using a negative priming paradigm, and effortful cognitive inhibition was measured rating intrusion errors in the well known Daneman and Carpenter’s (1980) working memory task. No evidence for dysfunction of the au…
Predictors and outcomes associated with the growth curves of self-efficacy beliefs in regard to anger and sadness regulation during adolescence: a lo…
2023
IntroductionThis longitudinal study examined unique and joint effects of parenting and negative emotionality in predicting the growth curves of adolescents’ self-efficacy beliefs about regulating two discrete negative emotions (anger and sadness) and the association of these growth curves with later maladjustment (i.e., internalizing and externalizing problems).MethodsParticipants were 285 children (T1: Mage = 10.57, SD = 0.68; 53.3% girls) and their parents (mothers N = 286; fathers N = 276) from Colombia and Italy. Parental warmth, harsh parenting, and internalizing and externalizing problems were measured in late childhood at T1, whereas early adolescents’ anger and sadness were measured…
Teorie implicite dell’apprendimento matematico in insegnanti di scuola primaria.
2008
