Artikkelissa kuvataan omaishoitajien kokemuksia omaishoidon tuen hakemisesta. Tulosten mukaan omaishoidon tuen hakeminen voi olla monimutkainen prosessi, jota edistävät ja hidastavat monet tekijät. In a context of high rate of obesity, understanding early formation of child eating behaviour, in qualitative and quantitative terms, is crucial. This work shows that new vegetable acceptance is positively associated with the introduction of variety since the beginning of the complementary feeding, and would be more difficult in 2 year old children. Moreover, the liking of a new food (vegetable or beverage) increases after familiarisation by repeated exposure. A transitional association between the new food and calories induces more stable liking than repeated exposure. However, a high energy density could limit intake of the new food by learned satiation. Aquaponics is a way to utilize the nutrient-rich effluents from recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS) by combining hydroponics, i.e. soilless plant farming, with RAS. The plants in aquaponics can be grown as a single or mixed plant species together with fish. In this dissertation, I investigated if plant growth is affected in aquaponics compared to hydroponics and if the plants affected the growth and microbial communities in rainbow trout (Oncorhynchus mykiss) or water quality in aquaponics compared to RAS. AbstractFish and feed waste provide most of the nutrients required by the plants in aquaponics if the optimum ratio between daily fish feed inputs and the plant growing area is sustained. Thus, the fish feed needs to fulfil both the fish’s and plant’s nutritional requirements in an aquaponic system. A controlled fish waste production strategy where the nitrogen, phosphorus and mineral contents of fish diets are manipulated and used provides a way of influencing the rates of accumulation of nutrients, thereby reducing the need for the additional supplementation of nutrients. The article examines what it calls the "politics-as-resistance" frame in contemporary political theory, originating in the works of Michel Foucault and Judith Butler. This way of organizing political experience is contrasted with Hannah Arendt's political thought, particularly her writings on revolutionary action. Arendt's often overlooked – and partly unpublished – passages on virtù and fortuna are further suggested as important additions to her thinking on action. I argue that Arendt's "world-centric" approach can illuminate certain aspects of political experience that remain dimmed in the more subject-oriented politics-as-resistance frame.
