The COVID-19 pandemic has impacted the entire world in ways that were unimaginable in 2019. It has changed how professionals work and interact with one another. To ensure the safety of experts and attorneys, forensic inspection procedures must evolve while still providing a reliable foundation for expert testimony. Traditional field inspections require attendees to be physically present and in generally close proximity. Computing the Original eBWT Faster, Simpler, and with Less Memory

Mantaci et al. [TCS 2007] defined the \(\mathrm {eBWT}\) to extend the definition of the \(\mathrm {BWT}\) to a collection of strings. However, since this introduction, it has been used more generally to describe any \(\mathrm {BWT}\) of a collection of strings, and the fundamental property of the original definition (i.e., the independence from the input order) is frequently disregarded. In this paper, we propose a simple linear-time algorithm for the construction of the original \(\mathrm {eBWT}\), which does not require the preprocessing of Bannai et al. [CPM 2021]. Sourcing on the internet: Examining the relations among different phases of online inquiry

This study examined students’ engagement in sourcing throughout online inquiry, that is, when they specified the information need, formulated search queries, evaluated online texts, and composed a written product. Participants were 167 upper secondary school students. Students completed an online inquiry task in a restricted online environment that utilized authentic online texts. Students’ prior topic knowledge and reading fluency was measured and controlled for in the analysis. Early numeracy in low‐performing young children

The aim of this study was to explore the early numeracy of low‐performing young children. The mean age of the children was six years and four months. The 511 participants belonged to three groups: multi‐language children, children with special educational needs and children with average performance. The results showed that there were significant group differences in early numeracy: the children in the reference group had better relational and counting skills than those with a multi‐language background and those with special educational needs. Autonomy-supportive and controlling styles of teaching are usually considered to be the opposite ends of a single continuum. An alternative view, however, is that individuals can perceive both styles simultaneously, which suggests that they are different constructs ( Bartholomew, Ntoumanis, Ryan, Bosch, & Thøgersen-Ntoumani, 2011 ).
