Abstract The adverse nature of biomass requires specific pretreatment processes to better utilize it in bioenergy applications, and torrefaction is one of the most recognized thermal pretreatment methods. In this regard, we studied the effect of torrefaction pretreatment on kinetics, reaction mechanism and heat flow during the pyrolysis of biomass by making a comparative analysis between the pyrolysis of dried and torrefied Eucalyptus wood. Torrefied biomass was produced at three temperatures, namely 250, 275 and 300 °C. Pyrolysis was performed at 700 °C. Bakalaura darba tēma – Nefarmakoloģiskās atsāpināšanas metodes jaundzimušo intensīvās terapijas nodaļā. Šī tēma ir aktuāla, jo ik gadu pasaulē nāk ap 15 miljoniem bērnu , no kuriem vismaz viens no 10 jaundzimušajiem piedzimst pirms laika. Savukārt Latvijā katru gadu pirms laika jeb agrāk par pilnām 37 grūtniecības nedēļām dzimst vairāk nekā 1000 bērni, tie ir aptuveni 6% no kopējā dzimušo skaita. Nudge for justice : An ERP investigation of default effects on trade-offs between equity and efficiency

Default options are an increasingly common tool used by organizations, managers, and policymakers to guide individuals’ behavior. We wondered whether the known preference for default options could constitute a nudge to achieve more equitable or more efficient results. Combining with event-related potentials, we found that both the default option and distributive justice contributed significantly to decision-making. The N200s and P300s were extracted using the tensor decomposition, which showed superiority in terms of capturing multi-domain features. Museoilla on ollut historiallisesti keskeinen rooli kansallisuuden ja kansallisen kuvaston tuottajina ja kulttuuriperinnön ylläpitäjinä. Osana kansallisen identiteetin rakentamisprojektia museot ovat osallistuneet myös eksotisoivan kuvaston ja toiseuden tuottamiseen ja toiminnallaan vahvistaneet kolonialistisia erontekoja. Tässä artikkelissa otamme erityiseen tarkasteluun Gallen-Kallela Museon Afrikka-kokoelman näyttelyhistorian ja pohdimme, miten museo on kokoelmaa esittäessään osallistunut kolonialistisen kuvaston tuottamiseen ja uudelleen tulkitsemiseen. Badania dotyczą zmienności zawartości olejku eterycznego w igliwiu sosny zwyczajnej w zależności od wieku drzew, garnituru igieł oraz jego usytuowania w koronie. Materiał do badań stanowiło igliwie zebrane z drzewostanów sosnowych w wieku 15, 44 i 89 lat. W przeprowadzonych badaniach średnia zawartość olejków wzrastała wraz z wiekiem drzew. W igliwiu pochodzącym z 15-letniego młodnika zawartość olejku wynosiła średnio 0,46%, a w igliwiu drzewostanów 44- i 89-letnich odpowiednio 0,55 i 0,61%. Średnia zawartość olejku maleje wraz z wiekiem igliwia. Najwięcej olejku zawiera igliwie jednoroczne - 0,56%, najmniej igliwie trzyletnie - 0.48%.
