Darba mērķis ir noskaidrot, kā daudzbērnu ģimeņu pārstāvji izjūt valsts un pašvaldības sniegto sociālo atbalstu, vai tiek izmantoti sniegtie atbalsta pakalpojumi Gulbenes novadā un kā, pēc daudzbērnu ģimeņu domām, uzlabot valsts un pašvaldības sociālo atbalstu. Lai sasniegtu darbā izvirzīto mērķi tika veiktas daļēji strukturētās intervijas ar Gulbenes novadā dzīvojošiem daudzbērnu ģimeņu vecākiem. Pacientu informētība par ērču encefalītu un profilaktisko terapijas iespējām Latvijā

Ērču encefalīts (ĒE) mūsdienās ir plaši pazīstama vīrusinfekcija. ĒE ir infekcijas slimība, ko cilvēkam pārnes Ixodes tipa ērces. Latvijā par endēmiskiem ir atzīti 22 novadi, tādēļ ir liels risks inficēties ar ĒE. Līdz ar to iedzīvotāju informētība par ĒE un profilaktisko terapijas iespējām ir aktuāla un svarīga. Darba mērķis bija sociālās aptaujas ietvaros uzzināt un novērtēt Latvijas iedzīvotāju informētību par ĒE vīrusinfekciju un to profilaktisko terapijas iespējām Latvijā. Iegūtie dati reprezentēja, ka kopējais Latvijas iedzīvotāju informētības līmenis par ĒE ir augsts, un cilvēkiem ir pieejama informācija par profilaktisko terapiju iespējām. This dissertation examines the impact that the materiality of institutions has on patients and staff. Fieldwork has been carried out at five district psychiatric centres (Distriktspsykiatriske sentra, DPS) that were originally built as tuberculosis institutions. The patients’ and employees’ experiences of being present in the physical and social space of these institutions has been examined, interpreted and reflected upon. The paper provides knowledge about the significance institutions’ materiality and inner life has on the informants, and how the informants influence the materiality. Aim: Assessing the performances of different sampling approaches for documenting community diversity may help to identify optimal sampling efforts and strategies, and to enhance conservation and monitoring planning. Here, we used two data sets based on probabilistic and preferential sampling schemes of Italian forest vegetation to analyze the multifaceted performances of the two approaches across three major forest types at a large scale. Mental fatigue is a common phenomenon with implicit and multidimensional properties. It brings dynamic changes of functional brain networks. However, the challenging problem of false positives appears when the connectivity is estimated by Electroencephalography (EEG). In this paper, we propose a novel framework based on spatial clustering to explore the sources of mental fatigue and functional activity changes caused by them. To suppress the false positive observations, spatial clustering is implemented in brain networks.
