Pētījums attiecas uz aktuālu klīniskās fizioloģijas un neirozinātnes problēmu, kura ir saistīta ar dažādu eksogēnu stimulu spēju ietekmēt gan cilvēka smadzeņu darbību, gan stājas stabilitāti. Tryptophan metabolic pathways and brain serotonergic activity: A comparative review

The essential amino acid L-tryptophan (Trp) is the precursor of the monoaminergic neurotransmitter serotonin (5-hydroxytryptamine, 5-HT). Numerous studies have shown that elevated dietary Trp has a suppressive effect on aggressive behavior and post-stress plasma cortisol concentrations in vertebrates, including teleosts. These effects are believed to be mediated by the brain serotonergic system, even though all mechanisms involved are not well understood. The rate of 5-HT biosynthesis is limited by Trp availability, but only in neurons of the hindbrain raphe area predominantly expressing the isoform TPH2 of the enzyme tryptophan hydroxylase (TPH). The recent decision to convert the Benedictine Dormitory in Monreale into an exhibition site offers the opportunity to enjoy the whole monumental complex where the wonderful cloister is the core attraction. It is on this site that the Norman Cathedral stands, brightly decorated with golden mosaics. The new exhibition has gathered together the artworks from the ruined abbey of Santa Maria del Bosco in Calatamauro and added them to the artefacts already exhibited at the Diocesan Museum. Background: Monitoring dietary habits is important in order to identify risk groups and as a basis for targeted public health initiatives. Objective: To study trends in consumption of selected foods and beverages from 2016 to 2019 amongst Norwegian adolescents according to gender and parental education. Design: Repeated cross-sectional study amongst 25,996 adolescents, aged 14–17 years old. Consumption of selected food and beverages was measured by an online food frequency questionnaire and general linear models were applied to estimate changes in dietary habits. Il saggio analizza il tema del controllo penale delle di droghe leggere, con particolare riferimento al contesto geografico del bacino del Mediterraneo. Combinando i risultati della ricerca criminologica con quelli l'analisi dei sistemi normativi di Italia, Spagna, Portogallo, Grecia e Germania, lo studio prende in considerazione pregi e difetti dei modelli normativi "antiproibizionisti" sia alla stregua degli argomenti di principio che possono essere richiamati a sostegno o contro la prospettiva di legalizzazione della cannabis e delle altre droghe leggere, sia con riguardo agli effetti che l'adozione di tali modelli potrebbe generare sul versante del contrasto al crimine organizzato.

“Comme ca pour le plaisir…” is a quotation taken from The Little Prince of Antoine de Saint - Exupéry that in a few words summarizes the subjects I want to discuss. Is there only pleasure in creative activities? How much creativity is related with painful parts of our inner world? More in specific: has writing to do with separation issues? In the first part of my paper I will try to answer to the above questions exploring some psychoanalytical concepts, their relationship with creativity and in particular with writing.
