Vengono presentati i monumenti arabo-normanni presenti, ai fini della candidatura UNESCO, che preservano in modo pressoché integrale le componenti architettoniche e decorative e che, in virtù delle particolari attenzioni rivolte a essi da parte delle istituzioni, si presentano in buono stato di conservazione. Si tratta, infatti, delle opere più rappresentative e artisticamente rilevanti nelle quali è possibile riconoscere inequivocabilmente i tratti salienti dell’arte arabo-normanna in tutte le sue componenti e sfaccettature. Microclimate for cultural heritage plays a fundamental role in the degradation process of artefacts exhibited in museums. Generally, the Indoor Air Quality (IAQ) monitoring inside museums is based on conventional measurements of thermo-hygrometry parameters and longtime averaged measurements of atmospheric pollutants’ concentration. Life cycle energy performances and environmental impacts of a prefabricated building module

Abstract The paper explores the energy performances and environmental impacts of a prefabricated building module located in Messina (Sicily, Italy) through an approach that combines both the non-steady state building simulation and the Life Cycle Assessment methodology. The building uses renewable energy technologies and is usable in emergency situations or as simply temporary housing. Results show that the building module causes the emission of 1.5 t of CO2eq/m2 and consumes 29.2 GJ/m2 of primary energy during its life cycle.
