The need to approximate the legislation of the different European States in the field of assisted reproduction, in order to prevent the so-called…

2016

ABSTRACT. The identification of the category "disadvantaged group" or "particularly vulnerable group" is not a closed issue in the anti-discrimination law.…

2020

Long working hours and health in Europe: Gender and welfare state differences in a context of economic crisis

2016

This article examines the relationship between moderately long working hours and health status in Europe. A cross-sectional study based on data from the 2010 European Working Conditions Survey (13,518 men and 9381 women) was performed. Working moderately long hours was consistently associated with poor health status and poor psychological wellbeing in countries with traditional family models, in both sexes in Liberal countries and primarily among women in Continental and Southern European countries. A combination of economic vulnerability, increasing labour market deregulation and work overload related to the combination of job and domestic work could explain these findings. (C) 2016 Elsevi…

Conflicting rationales: leader's experienced ethical challenges in community health care for older people.

2017

BACKGROUND Ethical challenges arise in all types of care, and leaders need to be aware of how to resolve these challenges. AIM The purpose of this article was to highlight some ethical challenges perceived by leaders with responsibility for management and service distribution, finance and ensuring quality of community health services for older people. METHOD This study had a qualitative design with a qualitative content analysis of one focus group with six leaders that me…
