"Syrjäytymisen vaara on suuri" : diskurssianalyyttinen tutkielma Helsingin Sanomien nuorten syrjäytymispuheesta vuosina 1994-1995 ja 2004-2005

Tutkimuksen tarkoituksena on tuottaa tietoa nuorten syrjäytymisestä sanomalehdissä esiintyvänä ilmiönä. Tutkimuksessa selvitettiin millaisena nuorten syrjäytyminen näyttäytyy valtakunnallisesti merkittävän päivälehden, Helsingin Sanomien kirjoituksissa. Aineistoksi valittiin vuosien 1994–1995 ja vuosien 2004–2005 lehdet. Tutkimuksen tavoitteena oli myös tarkastella, tapahtuiko nuorten syrjäytymistä koskevassa kirjoittelussa muutoksia yhteiskunnallis-taloudellisen tilanteen muuttuessa. Lisäksi pyrittiin selvittämään, mitä retorisia keinoja kirjoituksissa hyödynnettiin. Objectives: We investigated the association between outdoor air pollutants exposure in the first trimester of pregnancy, and growth and cardio-metabolic risk at four years of age, and evaluated the mediating role of birth weight. Methods: We included mother-child pairs (N = 1,724) from the Spanish INMA birth cohort established in 2003-2008. First trimester of pregnancy nitrogen dioxide (NO2) and fine particles (PM2.5) exposure levels were estimated. In the large GWAS studies, NEGR1 gene has been one of the most significant gene loci for body mass phenotype. The purpose of the current study was to clarify the role of NEGR1 in the maintenance of systemic metabolism, including glucose homeostasis, by using both male and female Negr1−/− mice receiving a standard or high fat diet (HFD).
