Hupenevat kielivalinnat : kehnoa kielikoulutuspolitiikkaa vai kielenoppimismotivaatiota?

Artikkelissa tarkastellaan suomalaisen perusopetuksen yläkoululaisten vieraan kielen oppimismotivaatiota. Tutkimuksessani selvitin muun muassa oppilaiden vieraiden kielten motivaatioprofiileja, nykyistä kieliminää ennustavia tekijöitä sekä motivaatioprofiilien ja arvosanojen yhteyksiä oppilaiden perusopetuksen jälkeisiin jatkosuunnitelmiin. Artikkelissani käsittelen myös suomalaista kielikoulutuspolitiikkaa perusopetuksen kituvien kielivalintojen osalta. From the past to the future : self-concepts of English language teachers from Finland and Korea

This article explores 1) how two English language teachers from Finland and Korea develop their self-concept as English learners throughout their English learning trajectory, and 2) the positive motivational effects of self-reflective experiences upon the research participants. To obtain more holistic research findings, a combination of verbal in-depth interviews with visual artworks depicting English learning timeline and self-portraits were used. Saksan kielen opiskeleminen kouluissa on vähentynyt huomattavasti viime vuosikymmeninä ja kielten opiskelu suuntautunut vahvasti englannin kieleen. Motivaatiolla on suuri merkitys kielten opiskeluun, ja tässä tutkielmassa oli tarkoitus tutkia sisäisen ja ulkoisen motivaation merkitystä saksan kielen oppimisessa opiskelijoiden näkökulmasta. Tämän tutkielman mielenkiinto kohdistuu seitsemän ensimmäistä lukuvuottaan ruotsia opettavan luokanopettajan motivaatioon, kelpoisuuteen ja ruotsin opet-tajana toimimiseen. Elokuussa 2016 peruskoulun opetussuunnitelman uudis-tumisen myötä ruotsin opetus siirtyi alkamaan kuudennelta luokalta, jolloin ai-neenopettajien lisäksi myös jotkin luokanopettajat alkoivat toimia B1-ruotsin opettajina. Il testo presenta una ricerca quantitativa condotta in sette sedi universitarie italiane che focalizza le motivazioni degli studenti a scegliere la lingua tedesca all'interno del loro corso di laurea come materia opzionale. Lo studio mira a capire se la motivazione per l'apprendimento del tedesco a livello universitario negli ultimi anni è cambiata, cioè se - come anche in altri paesi - prevale una motivazione prettamente funzionale alla possibilità di trovare un lavoro dopo la laurea, o se persistono degli interessi sia culturali sia linguistici come stimolo per apprenderla.

International audience; Myotonic dystrophy type 1 (DM1) is caused by an unstable expanded CTG repeat located within the DMPK gene 3'UTR. The nature, severity and age at onset of DM1 symptoms are very variable in patients. Different forms of the disease are described, among which the congenital form (CDM) is the most severe. Molecular mechanisms of DM1 are well characterized for the adult form and involve accumulation of mutant DMPK RNA forming foci in the nucleus. Abstract Objective To evaluate the clinical results and survival of primary hip prosthesis with ceramic delta bearings (C-C) with a minimum follow-up of 5 years. Material and method A total of 205 primary hip arthroplasties performed between 2008 and 2012 were studied. The clinical results, pre-surgical and at 5 years of follow-up were evaluated using the Harris Hip Score (HHS), the Short Form-36 (SF-36), the Western Ontario and McMaster Universities Osteoarthritis Index (WOMAC), and the visual analogue scale (VAS). Optimal positioning of the humeral component in the reverse shoulder prosthesis.

Total reverse shoulder arthroplasty is becoming more and more the standard therapeutic practice for glenohumeral arthropathy with massive lesions of the rotator cuff. The biomechanical principle of this prosthesis is represented by the reversion of the normal anatomy of the shoulder joint. This non-anatomical prosthesis leads to a medialization of the rotation centre of the glenohumeral joint and also to a distalization of the humeral head. All that causes a deltoid tension increasing so allowing a larger abduction of the arm.
