This paper explicates Husserl’s usage of what he calls “radical Besinnung” in Formale und transzendentale Logik (1929). Husserl introduces radical Besinnung as his method in the introduction to FTL. Radical Besinnung aims at criticizing the practice of formal sciences by means of transcendental phenomenological clarification of its aims and presuppositions. By showing how Husserl applies this method to the history of formal sciences down to mathematicians’ work in his time, the paper explains in detail the relationship between historical critical Besinnung and transcendental phenomenology. Artikkelissa tutkitaan taloustiedettä episteemisenä yhteisönä ja tämän episteemisen yhteisön käyttämiä retorisia keinoja rajojensa puolustamiseen. Episteemisen yhteisön teoria korostaa jaettuja metodologisia lähtökohtia ja arvolähtökohtia yhteisöjen koossapitävinä voimina, minkä lisäksi taloustiede on havaittu tutkimuksessa erityisen metodologisesti eristäytyneeksi. Artikkelissa eritellään taloustieteilijöiden episteemisen yhteisön suomalaisessa julkisuudessa käyttämiä retorisia strategioita sosiaalisesta mediasta kerätyn aineiston avulla. Aineistosta erottuvat strategiat ovat epäsymmetrinen näytön vaatiminen, auktoriteetin kieltäminen ja kaksoisstandardi.

Previous research on music and emotions has been able to pinpoint many structural features conveying emotions. Empirical research on vertical harmony’s emotional qualities, however, has been rare. The main studies in harmony and emotions usually concern the horizontal aspects of harmony, ignoring emotional qualities of chords as such. Time estimation in Alzheimer and the role of the central executive

The aim of this study was to evaluate the role of short-term memory and attention in time estimation. For this purpose we studied prospective time verbal estimation in 21 patients with Alzheimer's disease (AD), and compared their performance with that of 21 matched normal controls in two different conditions: during a digit span task and during an attentional task. Results showed that the performance of AD patients was significantly worse than that of the controls; the interaction between group and condition was significant. We suggest a role of attentional-executive functions in prospective time estimation.

The conflict between work and family demands increased during the COVID-19 pandemic due to changes in lifestyle related to the lockdown. This study examines the associations between work-family conflict (WFC) and family-work conflict (FWC) with work-specific, family-specific, and well-being-related variables during the second wave of the COVID-19 pandemic. The results may be used in practice to improve the well-being of employees by adjusting home-based work and family areas of life to dynamic changes during the pandemic. Background: Monitoring dietary habits is important in order to identify risk groups and as a basis for targeted public health initiatives. Objective: To study trends in consumption of selected foods and beverages from 2016 to 2019 amongst Norwegian adolescents according to gender and parental education. Design: Repeated cross-sectional study amongst 25,996 adolescents, aged 14–17 years old.
