AbstractThe aim of this study is to analyse the relationships between intercultural sensitivity, empathy, self-concept and satisfaction with life in upper level primary school students. Possible gender differences in these variables are analysed, and their results on self-concept, empathy and satisfaction with life are compared in students with higher and lower levels of intercultural sensitivity. The sample is composed of 473 students (52% boys and 48% girls) between 10 and 13 years old (M = 10.79, SD = 0.74). El objetivo de este trabajo es el de estudiar el efecto de un programa de coaching sobre la percepción de la salud general y emocional (medido con el GHQ-12; Sánchez-López y Dresch, 2008) y el bienestar psicológico (medido con el EBP; Díaz et al., 2006) en un grupo de jóvenes atletas de alto rendimiento. Los resultados indican que el grupo experimental (n = 38), tras la realización del programa de coaching (con un promedio de 4 a 6 sesiones y 45 a 60 minutos por sesión), mejora su percepción de bienestar y salud psicológica. The study is aimed at exploring if individuals’ levels of EI in adolescent immigrants of second generation are related to different indicators of psychosocial adjustment, such as individual well-being, social relationships with peers, scholastic performance and motivation. The purpose of this study is to explore the relationship between Emotional Intelligence (EI) and burnout in health care professionals. More specifically, this survey has the purpose of demonstrating the role of EI as a protective factor against the risk of burnout. Health professionals (doctors, nurses, and other caregivers) composed the sample. Data, collected during professional training, provided 148 employees. Major results of this survey underline the relationship between EI and burnout. As we expected, there is a negative and significant correlation between burnout and Emotional Intelligence.
