In recent years online shopping has become a popular and convenient instrument for companies to buy and sell products. However, the design of these web-shops does not offer the rich multisensory experiences than physical retailing offers. In the paper we argue that audio-visual contents could provide dynamic multisensory information to offer more engaging experiences to the consumer, but to achieve this goal, audio-visual contents need to be adjusted to the cultural characteristics of the users. How do people talk decades later about their crisis that we call psychosis? : A qualitative study of the personal meaning-making process

Psychosis refers to a severe mental state that often significantly affects the individual’s life course. However, it remains unclear how people with the lived experiences themselves view these phenomena, as part of their life story. In order to evaluate this personal meaning-making process, we conducted in-depth life-story interviews with 20 people who had been diagnosed with non-affective psychosis 10 to 23 years previously in one catchment area. 35% of them were still receiving mental health treatment, and 55% of them were diagnosed with schizophrenia. The performance of cold bitumen emulsion (CBE) mixtures is strongly linked to an optimised design of the binder blends and mastics. Types and dosages of bitumen, mineral additions and the workability must be characterised and optimised. This study aims at providing an approach for the fundamental characterisation of CBE materials using rotational viscometry. Recent fossil discoveries have demonstrated that Africa and Asia were epicentres for the origin and/or early diversification of the major living primate lineages, including both anthropoids (monkeys, apes and humans) and crown strepsirhine primates (lemurs, lorises and galagos). Competing hypotheses favouring either an African or Asian origin for anthropoids rank among the most hotly contested issues in paleoprimatology. The subject of the article is the ‘memory war’ over the memory of the Civil War of 1918 in Vyborg, and the displaced Karelians’ experience in the time of diaspora. Until the wars of 1939–1945 the culture of remembrance of the Civil War was divided in Vyborg and in Finland and many truths of the war were maintained in the Red’s and White’s own groups. The article details how the dichotomous history culture of Civil War memories has slowly transformed into a diversified and critical analysis over the past one hundred years. Suomi otti ensiaskeleita kohti globalisaatiota. Metsäteollisuudessa se johti perinteisten vientiyhdistysten hajoamiseen ja toimialan kansainvälistymiseen. Physico-chemical investigation of the state of cyanamide confined in AOT and lecithin reversed micelles

Sodium bis(2-ethylhexyl)sulfosuccinate (AOT) and lecithin reversed micelles containing cyanamide have been investigated by small-angle X-ray scattering, FT-IR, and 1H NMR spectroscopy at various cyanamide-to-surfactant molar ratio (X) and at fixed surfactant concentration (0.1 mol kg-1). Experimental data are consistent with a model of cyanamide molecules confined in reversed micelles, quite uniformly distributed among them and mainly located among surfactant headgroups. SAXS data analysis leads also to hypothesize a unidimensional growth of the reversed micelles with increasing the X value.
