In this work, we have developed a new gas-sensing transduction based on the propagation of microwave inside a sensitive material to detect atmospheric pollutants at room temperature. First, we present a short overview of the main gas-sensing transduction in the litterature. These techniques operate in frequency ranges different from microwaves. The dielectric permittivity is the main physical parameter in the microwave transduction. This thesis defines a new approach in urban and building facility management. A production and information management process of the building, its immediate environment and urban objects has been defined. It allows to manage these objects throughout their life cycle, in a concept called Urban Facility Management. The present study focuses on the International Master’s Degree Programs (IMDP) of the University of Jyväskylä and issues related to English-medium instruction (EMI). At the core of the present study are the IMDP students’ conceptualizations of, and reflections on, academic English. Furthermore, the study examines the IMDP students’ reported language gains in academic English as well as the internal and external factors to which the students’ attribute these gains, or the lack of them. Šajā pētījumā tiek aplūkots angļu valodas apgūšanas un pasniegšanas aktivitātāšu un stratēģiju pielietojuma nozīmīgums bērniem, kuri apgūst angļu valodu kā svešvalodu. Pētījuma mērķis ir analizēt angļu valodas skaņu uztveri, pēc Tabor (1997) stratēģiju un aktivitāšu pielietošanas struktūras, bērniem, vecumā no trīs līdz sešiem gadiem, angļu valodas nodarbības laikā.
