This paper explores the processes, strategies, and methods used when preparing an expressive vocal performance from the point-of-view of the artist. The study tracked the development and performance preparation of 13 university students studying classical voice performance or music education. Participants were asked to choose one unfamiliar piece from their repertoire and complete three surveys administered at the beginning, middle, and end of their study term. This chapter tackles the question of interpersonal understanding from the point of view of so-called “moments of meeting.” Coined by Daniel Stern and his colleagues, this term refers to specific and particularly intense experiential situations, where two (or more) persons attune to each other’s affective experiences, thus “cocreating” an experiential area that exists to these two individuals exclusively—a “shared private world,” as Stern puts it (Stern, 2004). Poly-diallyldimethylammonium (PDADMAC) chloride is a flocculant agent extensively used in water clarification treatments. Commercial polyelectrolyte formulations often contain residual monomer (DADMAC), reaction by-products and other reactants as contaminants that could potentially affect human health. In the present study, we optimized an analytical method based on reversed-phase ion-pair chromatography coupled with mass spectrometry for quantifying ultra-trace levels of DADMAC, without preliminary treatments, in drinking water distributed by the Palermo aqueduct. Kinetics of phase separation in thin films: Lattice versus continuum models for solid binary mixtures

A description of phase separation kinetics for solid binary (A,B) mixtures in thin film geometry based on the Kawasaki spin-exchange kinetic Ising model is presented in a discrete lattice molecular field formulation. It is shown that the model describes the interplay of wetting layer formation and lateral phase separation, which leads to a characteristic domain size $\ell(t)$ in the directions parallel to the confining walls that grows according to the Lifshitz-Slyozov $t^{1/3}$ law with time $t$ after the quench. OBJECTIVES: Non-celiac wheat sensitivity (NCWS) is defined as a reaction to ingested wheat after exclusion of celiac disease and wheat allergy. As its pathogenesis is incompletely understood, we evaluated the inflammatory response in the rectal mucosa of patients with well-defined NCWS. METHODS: The prospective study included 22 patients with irritable bowel syndrome (IBS)-like clinical presentation, diagnosed with NCWS by double-blind placebo-controlled challenge. Käsittelen tutkimuksessani itse kehittämäni lavastettavan valokuvan mahdollisuuksia taidekasvatusmenetelmänä. Menetelmälleni ominaista on, että se hyödyntää siirto-objektia, eli trasitionaaliobjektia kuvan päähenkilönä, jonka kautta teemaan perehdytään. Menetelmälleni on erityistä se, että ryhmääni osallistuva kuvaaja pysyy koko ajan kameran takana ja saa päättää itse kuvaan kuuluvista symbolisista elementeistä. Kuvasta valoon -projektin aikana olen taiteilijana itse määrittänyt transitionaaliobjektiksi mallinuken jalat, jotka aseteltiin jokaiseen paikkakuvaan.
