Varying plant protein sources in the diet of sea bass Dicentrarchus labrax differently affects lipid metabolism and deposition

The liver activity of lipogenic enzymes, the lipid content in various tissues, and plasma lipid levels of major, were measured in sea bass (D. labrax) fed over 96 days either a, fish meal-based control diet or preparations where 70% of fish meal protein was replaced by wheat gluten singly or in combination with pea or soybean meals. Relative to the controls, sea bass fed the wheat gluten-based diet resulted in stimulated lipogenesis in liver and increased lipid deposition in muscle. The opposite occurred when a substantial amount of soybean meal was included in the diet. Due to the safety challenges associated with the use of trimethylaluminum as a metal precursor for the deposition of alumina, different chemicals have been investigated over the years to replace it. The authors have investigated the use of aluminum tri-isopropoxide (TIPA) as an alternative alkoxide precursor for the safe and cost-effective deposition of alumina. Syvällä sydänmaassa – Yrjö Blomstedtin ja Victor Sucksdorffin Kainuu -näyttely kertoo kahden arkkitehdin, Yrjö Blomstedtin ja Victor Sucksdorffin, tunnetusta Venäjän Karjalan tutkimus- ja keräysmatkasta kesällä 1894. Matkasta julkaistiin kaksiosainen Karjalaisia rakennuksia ja koristemuotoja -teos, joka on myöhemmin arvioitu arkkitehtuurin Kalevalaksi ja taideteollisuuden klassiseksi tiennäyttäjäksi. Suurelle yleisölle on kuitenkin jäänyt tuntemattomaksi se, että Blomstedt ja Sucksdorff työskentelivät ahkerasti myös nykyisen Kainuun alueella. Mechanical recycling is an easy and economic way to re-use plastic waste as secondary materials, but, in general, their properties are worse with respect to the reclaimed materials and the virgin polymer. The aim of this work was to study the effect of concentration and reaction kinetics of two additives, an ethylene-co-glycidyl methacrylate (Lotader) and a hydroxylamine derivative (CGX), in the re-building of a degraded polyethylene. Nature of activating effect of two‐step polymerization of propylene

The prepolymerization effect on propylene polymerization in the presence of a TiCl3‐based catalyst, modified by di‐n‐buthyl ether, was studied. The influence of prepolymerization on the electron spin resonance spectra and morphology of the catalyst, as well as the properties and the morphology of both prepolymer and regular polymerization products, was investigated. The polymer morphology was evaluated through scanning electron microscopy, polymer bulk density, and particle size distribution. Przeciwdziałanie depopulacji Opolszczyzny

W województwie opolskim od dawna obserwuje się niekorzystną sytuację demograficzną. Niskie wskaźniki dzietności oraz ujemne saldo migracji sprawiają, że Opolszczyzna harakteryzuje się jednym z najwyższych w kraju wskaźników depopulacji. Dostrzegając związane z tym zagrożenia samorządy województwa postanowiły wpłynąć na ich ograniczenie. Najwyższa Izba Kontroli zbadała1 działania podejmowane w Urzędzie Marszałkowskim Województwa Opolskiego, Urzędzie Miasta Opola oraz Urzędzie Miejskim w Nysie. Z ustaleń wynika, że możliwiły one poprawę warunków życia mieszkańców, jednak jak dotąd nie doprowadziły do odwrócenia negatywnych trendów demograficznych.

Spatial representations of future in Homeric Greek

The aim of this paper is to investigate the space-time mapping of the future in Homeric Greek. It is widely accepted that the spatial adverbs πρόσσω ‘in front’ and ὀπίσσω ‘behind’ in the Homeric poems are used to portray temporal events located in a sequence of aligned entities that follow one after the other on the same path (Dunkel, 1983, p. 66). In such a temporal sequence, or Time-rp model, those adverbs are associated respectively to past and future events in a bipartite spatial representation of time, without involving a deictic ego-experiencer. W duszpasterstwie dzieci ważne zadanie spełniają głoszone do nich homilie i kazania. To przepowiadanie zostaje poddane naukowej refleksji w oparciu o paradygmat pastoralny. Przesłanką większą są wytyczne dokumentów Kościoła odnośnie przepowiadania do dzieci i to, co napisano na jego temat. Zaś przesłanką mniejszą wybrane homilie i kazania, które ukazały się drukiem i te, które są głoszone. Zestawienie przesłanki większej i mniejszej, a więc teorii i praktyki, pozwala na sformułowanie postulatów odnośnie przepowiadania do dzieci w Polsce. Zaproponowano 10 postulatów.
