Comprehensive analysis of interacting proteins and genome-wide location studies of the Sas3-dependent NuA3 histone acetyltransferase complex

Highlights • We characterise Sas3p and Gcn5p active HAT complexes in WT and deleted TAP-strains. • We confirm that Pdp3p interacts with NuA3, histones and chromatin regulators. • Pdp3p MS-analysis reveals its phosphorylation, ubiquitination and methylation. • Sas3p can substitute Gcn5p in acetylation of histone H3K14 but not of H3K9. • Genome-wide profiling of Sas3p supports its involvement in transcriptional elongation.

We investigated the associations of cardiometabolic risk factors with academic achievement and whether motor performance, cardiorespiratory fitness, physical activity, or sedentary behaviour mediated these associations. Altogether 175 children 6-8 years-of-age participated in the study. Tapaustutkimuksen tarkoituksena oli selvittää, miten Erasmus-intensiivikurssille osallistuminen edistää opettajaopiskelijoiden kansainvälistymistä, sosiaalista kanssakäymistä sekä luonnontieteiden oppimista. Tarkentavat alakysymykset kohdistuivat siihen, millaisia tavoitteita opiskelijoilla on kurssia kohtaan ja vastaavatko arvioidut hyödyt niihin. This article is concerned with subject-specific language in the context of CLIL education. More specifically, the focus lies in exploring hands-on tasks in CLIL physics and chemistry lessons as sites for using and learning subject-specific language. Following Lorenzo (2007), attention is paid to the role of subject-specific language in both pre-task phases, during the tasks, and in post-task phases. The findings indicate that while teachers’ strategies differ somewhat, the pretask and post-phases provide learners more exposure to subject-specific language than the task performance itself where language use is highly context-dependent. The educational approach known as Content and Language Integrated Learning (CLIL), in which content is taught partly through a foreign language, has gained great popularity in Europe in the past few decades. In Finland, CLIL has been in use since 1991 and, despite some fluctuations in its popularity, has gained a relatively stable place in the Finnish education system. CLIL has been extensively studied, but previous CLIL research has mostly focused on pupils currently enrolled in CLIL. Sisällön ja vieraan kielen oppimisen integroivaa CLIL-opetusta tarjotaan Suomessa erityisesti peruskouluissa, mutta korkea-asteen koulutuksessa sen tarjonta on kuitenkin yhä vähäistä ja tutkimusta sen käytöstä on vähän.
