Grain Composition and Functional Ingredients of Barley Varieties Created in Latvia

Abstract Cereals, including barley, have been recognised as functional foods that provide beneficial effect on the health of the consumer and decrease the risk of various diseases. The aim of investigation was to determine the grain composition of barley varieties and perspective breeding lines bred in Latvia and to evaluate its functional ingredients. The results of analysis showed that protein content among varieties ranged from 106.6-146.8 g·kg-1, total dietary fibre 187.4-208.2 g·kg-1, β-glucans 42.8 g-49.4 g·kg-1, and amount of α-tocopherol 6.03-8.93 mg·kg-1. Disociatīvās pieredzes, ķermeņa tēla uztveres un ruminācijas savstarpējās saistības sievietēm

Pētījuma mērķis ir noskaidrot sakarības starp disociatīvās pieredzes izteiktību, ķermeņa tēla uztveri un rumināciju sievietēm. Pētījumā piedalījās 131 respondente (M=23,38; SD=3,88). Tika izmantotas trīs metodes – Disociācijas aptauja (Vanderlinden, van Dyck, Vanderreycken, Vertommen, & Verkes, 1993), Ķermeņa tēla uztveres aptauja (Slade 1996) un Ruminatīvo atbilžu skala (Treynor, Gonzalez & Nolen - Hoeksema, 2003). Pētījuma rezultāti parāda, ka ķermeņa tēla uztvere ir negatīvi statistiski nozīmīgi saistīta ar disociatīvās pieredzes izteiktību, t.i., jo izteiktāka ir disociatīvā pieredze, jo negatīvāka ir ķermeņa tēla uztvere. Pieniny Mts. are important biodiversity hotspot in Central Europe. According to Pieniny National Park Long Term Conservation Plan 2000-2020 small, isolated populations of some of Pieniny NP flagship species can become extinct till 2020. That is why their ex situ preservation at seed bank is justified and reasonable as supplement of active and passive in situ conservation measures carried out by National Park staff. In this article we analyse autobiographical narrative texts written by university students studying Catalan as an Additional Language at a CEFR (2020) B1 level. The goal is to analyse the formative needs related to the writing of this genre in order to foster metadiscursive reflection in the classroom that will allow students to improve their written output. To this end, we analyzed a corpus of 39 autobiographies at both the macrotextual level (i.e., rhetorical moves) and the microtextual level (i.e., deictic elements which channel the narrative’s organization).
