During the eighteenth century's periods of political insecurity, writers and rulers supported a whole series of arguments aimed at constructing civilizing heroes who are sacrificed for the benefit of the country, society and the «common good.» This article analyses the different strategies and forms through which an enlightened heroism proliferated in the second half of the century and that were in a constant process of being defined. This paper addresses the educational hackthon as innovation pedagogy method for teaching fuzzy front end of innovation (FFEI) in higher education institutions (HEIs). Specifically it focuses on the process design and execution. This study is based on the idea that educational hackathons are a specific type of innovation contest aimed at teaching and learning, thus incorporating a set of design variables. Fast Computation by Subdivision of Multidimensional Splines and Their Applications

We present theory and algorithms for fast explicit computations of uni- and multi-dimensional periodic splines of arbitrary order at triadic rational points and of splines of even order at diadic rational points. The algorithms use the forward and the inverse Fast Fourier transform (FFT). The implementation is as fast as FFT computation. The algorithms are based on binary and ternary subdivision of splines. Interpolating and smoothing splines are used for a sample rate convertor such as resolution upsampling of discrete-time signals and digital images and restoration of decimated images that were contaminated by noise. Tämän tutkielman tavoitteena on käsitellä numeerisia yhtälönratkaisumenetelmiä matematiikan aineenopettajan näkökulmasta ja toimia lukion numeerisen matematiikan kurssin opettajan taustamateriaalina. Keskeinen sisältö käsittelee Lipschitz-jatkuvuutta, iteraatiota sekä Newton-Raphsonin menetelmää. Yhtälönratkaisu ja kahden lausekkeen yhtäsuuruuksien vertailu palautuu aina matematiikan klassiseen ongelmaan funktion nollakohdan etsimisestä. Keskeiset numeerisen yhtälönratkaisun metodit ovat rekursio ja iteraatio. Rekursio tarkoittaa oleellisesti toistoa.
