Depresija izraisa būtiskus psihisko procesu traucējumus - nomāktu garastāvokli, domu gausumu, koncentrēšanās grūtības, dzīvesprieka zudumu u.c. Depresija skar aizvien vairāk cilvēkus darbspējas vecumā. Depresijas pacientiem ir augstāks risks saslimt ar kādu no somātiskām slimībām, piemēram cukura diabētu, koronāro sirds slimību. Dipeptidyl Enoates As Potent Rhodesain Inhibitors That Display a Dual Mode of Action

Dipeptidyl enoates were prepared through a high-yielding two-step synthetic route. They have a dipeptidic structure with a 4-oxoenoate moiety as a warhead with multiple reactive sites. Dipeptidyl enoates were screened against rhodesain and human cathepsins B and L, and were found to be potent and selective inhibitors of rhodesain. Among them (S,E)-ethyl 5-((S)-2-{[(benzyloxy)carbonyl]amino}-3-phenylpropanamido)-7-methyl-4-oxooct-2-enoate (6) was the most potent, with an IC50 value of 16.4 nm and kinact/Ki=1.6×106 m−1 s−1 against rhodesain. Pētījuma mērķis bija noskaidrot, vai pastāv saistība starp vecvecāku iesaistes līmeni un emocionālo klimatu trīs paaudžu ģimenēs. Pētījumā piedalījās skolēni (n=56), kuri mācās vispārizglītojošo skolu no 10. līdz12. klasei un mitinās trīs paaudžu ģimenēs. Respondenti bija vecumā no 15 līdz 19 gadiem (M=17,49), no kuriem 70% ir meitenes un 30% zēni. Pētījumā izmantotajā anketā tika ievākti demogrāfiskie dati un informācija par ģimenes sastāvu, lai noskaidrotu, vai respondents mitinās trīs paaudžu ģimenē. En este trabajo se han desarrollado varias aplicaciones, empleando técnicas de multiplexado, dentro de los campos del procesado óptico de imágenes y del reconocimiento óptico de objetos. En concreto, empleando el multiplexado en longitud de onda como técnica que permite aumentar el caudal de información que se puede transmitir a través de un sistema óptico, hemos extendido las capacidades de reconocimiento de un correlador óptico iluminado con luz blanca al caso de la invariancia a escala del objeto de referencia hasta una relación de escalas de 2:1.
