Auditorijas iesaistes paņēmieni Rīsa lekcijās

Šī pētījuma mērķis bija analizēt izvēlētas lekcijas, kas tika pārraidītas BBC Radio kā daļa no Rīsa lekciju projekta, un noteikt auditorijas iesaistes paņēmienus šajās lekcijās. Šis darbs sastāv no piecām nodaļām. Pirmajā nodaļā tiek aprakstītas Rīsa lekcijas un to izcelsme. Otrajā nodaļā tiek aprakstītas lekcijas un to struktūra, kā arī apskatīta komunikācija un tās saistība ar auditorijas iesaisti. Trešajā nodaļā tiek apskatīti retoriskie līdzekļi un ceturtajā nodaļā tiek paskaidrota stāstu iesaistes nozīme lekcijās. Piektajā nodaļā tiek analizētas izvēlētās lekcijas un sniegti secinājumi. Il tema dell’uso del passato, dell’utilità della storia ai fini della ideologia e della prassi politica, è indagato nella Historia Augusta e nei breviari tardoantichi, opere accomunate dal fatto di essere riconducibili almeno in parte ad un filone storiografico comune. Dall’analisi si evidenzia l’originale interpretazione degli autori rispetto ad un patrimonio comune di tradizioni e di exempla. Design of measurement-based correlation models for shadow fading

This paper deals with the design of measurement-based correlation models for shadow fading. Based on the correlation model, we design a simulation model using the sumof-sinusoids (SOS) method to enable the simulation of spatial lognormal processes characterizing real-world shadow fading scenarios. The model parameters of the simulation model are computed by applying the L p -norm method (LPNM). This method facilitates an excellent fitting of the simulation model's autocorrelation function (ACF) to that of measured channels. Characterization of automotive shredder residues before and five years after landfill disposal

The paper illustrates the results of an extensive analytical characterization study of automotive shredder residues (ASR), also known as "fluff". The analyses concerned material fractions and their content, with special reference to heavy metals (e.g. Cd, Cr, Hg, Pb, Cu) and arsenic. Elution tests on the original materials were also conducted. Moreover, chemical concentrations of ASR samples after about five years' landfill residence was assessed, in order to verify possible changes resulting from both in-situ leaching and organic matter degradation phenomena. In this paper, an alternative method to represent Gaussian stationary processes describing wind velocity fluctuations is introduced. The technique may be considered the extension to a time continuous description of the well-known discrete-time autoregressive model to generate Gaussian processes. Digital simulation of Gaussian random processes with assigned auto-correlation function is provided by means of a stochastic differential equation with time delayed terms forced by Gaussian white noise. On the instability of an axially moving elastic plate

Problems of stability of an axially moving elastic band travelling at constant velocity between two supports and experiencing small transverse vibrations are considered in a 2D formulation. The model of a thin elastic plate subjected to bending and tension is used to describe the bending moment and the distribution of membrane forces. The stability of the plate is investigated with the help of an analytical approach.
