Veselības aprūpes pieejamība retu slimību gadījumos

Maģistra darbā „ Veselības aprūpes pieejamība retu slimību gadījumos” autore pēta retu slimību izpratni, to vietu Latvijas veselības aprūpes sistēmā. Autore darbā apskata dažādas iespējas kā definēt un kādos normatīvajos aktos ieviest retu slimību definējumu, piedāvā veidu kā uzlabot veselības aprūpes pieejamību retu slimību gadījumos. Autore secina, ka retu slimību gadījumi ir specifiski un tiem ir nepieciešams konkrēts atbalsts, ko iespējams panākt uzlabojot veselības aprūpes grozu, kurā tiktu noteikts specifiskāks regulējums attiecībā uz retu slimību gadījumiem, kā arī pievēršot uzmanību personām, kuras sasniegušas astoņpadsmit gadu vecumu.

Apart from their lipid lowering activity, HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors (statins) impair numerous cellular functions associated with metastasis, e.g. gene expression, angiogenesis, cell adhesion, cell motility and invasiveness. Furthermore, statins have impact on apoptotic cell death and modulate cellular susceptibility to cell killing by anticancer drugs and ionizing radiation. Part of the effects provoked by statins are due to the inhibition of the prenylation of low molecular weight GTPases, in particular Ras and Rho, which play key roles in signaling evoked by stimulation of cell surface receptors. AbstractShort peptide sequences from complementarity-determining regions (CDRs) of different immunoglobulins may exert anti-infective, immunomodulatory and antitumor activities regardless of the specificity of the original monoclonal antibody (mAb). In this sense, they resemble early molecules of innate immunity. C36L1 was identified as a bioactive light-chain CDR1 peptide by screening 19 conserved CDR sequences targeting murine B16F10-Nex2 melanoma. Analysis of the total β-electron spectrum of 92Rb : Implications for the reactor flux anomalies

We present here a microscopic nuclear-structure calculation of a β-electron spectrum including all the β-decay branches of a high Q-value reactor fission product contributing significantly to the reactor antineutrino energy spectrum. We perform large-scale nuclear shell-model calculations of the total electron spectrum for the β− decay of 92Rb to states in 92Sr using a computer cluster. We exploit the β-branching data of a recent total absorption γ-ray spectroscopy (TAGS) measurement to determine the effective values of the weak axial-vector coupling, gA, and the weak axial charge, gA(γ5). Safety and immunogenicity of the PRAME cancer immunotherapeutic in metastatic melanoma: results of a phase I dose escalation study

Purpose The PRAME tumour antigen is expressed in several tumour types but in few normal adult tissues. A dose-escalation phase I/II study (NCT01149343) assessed the safety, immunogenicity and clinical activity of the PRAME immunotherapeutic (recombinant PRAME protein (recPRAME) with the AS15 immunostimulant) in patients with advanced melanoma. Here, we report the phase I dose-escalation study segment.
