Analytic Bergman operators in the semiclassical limit
2018
Transposing the Berezin quantization into the setting of analytic microlocal analysis, we construct approximate semiclassical Bergman projections on weighted $L^2$ spaces with analytic weights, and show that their kernel functions admit an asymptotic expansion in the class of analytic symbols. As a corollary, we obtain new estimates for asymptotic expansions of the Bergman kernel on $\mathbb{C}^n$ and for high powers of ample holomorphic line bundles over compact complex manifolds.
On the nonarchimedean quadratic Lagrange spectra
2018
We study Diophantine approximation in completions of functions fields over finite fields, and in particular in fields of formal Laurent series over finite fields. We introduce a Lagrange spectrum for the approximation by orbits of quadratic irrationals under the modular group. We give nonarchimedean analogs of various well known results in the real case: the closedness and boundedness of the Lagrange spectrum, the existence of a Hall ray, as well as computations of various Hurwitz constants. We use geometric methods of group actions on Bruhat-Tits trees. peerReviewed
Simulation of Phase Transitions of Single Polymer Chains: Recent Advances
2006
The behaviour of a flexible polymer chain in solvents of variable quality in dilute solution is discussed both in the bulk and in the presence of an adsorbing wall. Monte Carlo simulations of coarse-grained bead-spring models and of the bond fluctuation model are presented and interpreted in terms of phenomenological theories and scaling concepts. Particular attention is paid to the behaviour of the polymer chain when the temperature of the polymer solution gets lower than the Theta temperature. It is argued that the adsorption transition line at the Theta temperature splits into lines of wetting and drying transitions of polymer globules attached to the wall. In addition, it is shown that …

and the electroweak penguin contribution
2003
Abstract Our dispersive sum rule calculation of the electroweak penguin contribution to ϵ′ ϵ is reviewed. A more recent analysis based on the finite-energy sum rule approach is described. Finally, a new determination of the electroweak penguin contribution to ϵ′ ϵ is presented.
Updated determination of αs(mτ2) from τ decays
2016
Using the most recent release of the ALEPH [Formula: see text] decay data, we present a very detailed phenomenological update of the [Formula: see text] determination. We have exploited the sensitivity to the strong coupling in many different ways, exploring several complementary methodologies. All determinations turn out to be in excellent agreement, allowing us to extract a very reliable value of the strong coupling. We find [Formula: see text] which implies [Formula: see text]. We critically revise previous work, and point out the problems flawing some recent analyses which claim slightly smaller values.
Towards a consistent estimate of the chiral low-energy constants
2006
Guided by the large-N_C limit of QCD, we construct the most general chiral resonance Lagrangian that can generate chiral low-energy constants up to O(p^6). By integrating out the resonance fields, the low-energy constants are parametrized in terms of resonance masses and couplings. Information on those couplings and on the low-energy constants can be extracted by analysing QCD Green functions of currents both for large and small momenta. The chiral resonance theory generates Green functions that interpolate between QCD and chiral perturbation theory. As specific examples we consider the VAP and SPP Green functions.
QCD sum rule analysis of the pentaquark
2005
We perform a QCD sum rule calculation to determine the mass and the parity of the lowest lying pentaquark state. We include operators up to dimension $d=13$ in the OPE and the direct instanton contributions. We find evidence for a positive parity state. The contribution from operators of dimension $d>5$ is instrumental in determining the parity of the state and achieving the convergence of the sum rule.
τ→πππντ decays and the a1(1260) off-shell width revisited
2010
Abstract The τ → π π π ν τ decay is driven by the hadronization of the axial-vector current. Within the resonance chiral theory, and considering the large- N C expansion, this process has been studied in Ref. [1] (D. Gomez Dumm, A. Pich, J. Portoles, 2004). In the light of later developments we revise here this previous work by including a new off-shell width for the lightest a1 resonance that provides a good description of the τ → π π π ν τ spectrum and branching ratio. We also consider the role of the ρ ( 1450 ) resonance in these observables. Thus we bring in an overall description of the τ → π π π ν τ process in excellent agreement with our present experimental knowledge.
