Development of taxonomy for Spanih Credit Institutions

This article describes the classification of stakeholders. The goal is to find distinct profiles of credit institutions, depending on their degree of concern about CSR. 57 Spanish credit institutions answered a survey. The results show the interest of such institutions in CSR in relation to the whole Spanish financial sector. The article distinguishes 3 clusters depending on the institutions' approach to CSR, that is, whether they focus on employees, society or regulations.

Es cada vez mayor el convencimiento de que la repercusión de las actividades de una entidad de crédito en los derechos humanos de sus empleados y de las comunidades locales sobrepasa el ámbito de los derechos laborales. El objetivo es evaluar si las entidades de crédito con mayor sensibilidad hacia la Responsabilidad Social Empresarial (RSE) implementan prácticas de valores compartidos con sus empleados. El trabajo de campo se realizó a través de una encuesta contestada por 57 entidades de crédito españolas. This paper analyzes the changing structure of the Italian and European banking firms and industry. The main aim is to identify the fundamental changes of the underlying economics of banking through the analysis of banks’ balance sheets. In this paper, we provide evidence that commercial banks have progressively moved from traditional banking to new forms of financial intermediation.
