BEMOD: A DSGE Model for the Spanish Economy and the Rest of the Euro Area

2006

In this paper we present the theoretical foundations and the simulation results obtained with a new dynamic general equilibrium model developed at the Banco de España for the Spanish economy and the rest of Euro area. The model is designed to help in simulating the effect of alternative shocks on the main aggregate variables. The main contributions of this work from a theoretical perspective are the modelling of a monetary union composed of two regions, the inclusion of housing as a durable good with its own sector of production and the degree and detail of the disaggregation considered for each country in the model, which replicates the Quarterly National Accounts. On the empirical side, t…

Shareable! L'economia della condivisione

2017

Zakorzenienie gospodarstw rolnych w lokalnych (regionalnych) systemach biobiznesu – uwarunkowania instytucjonalne w województwie opolskim

2016

Analizę przeprowadzono z wykorzystaniem trzech wymiarów transformacji europejskiego modelu rolnictwa: regulacji środowiskowych, dyfuzji wiedzy i informacji oraz powiązań międzyorganizacyjnych i społecznych. Na podstawie przeprowadzonych badań ankietowych zidentyfikowano stopień zakorzenienia instytucji zarządzających powstaniem biogospodarki w sieciach społecznych użytkowników towarowych gospodarstw rolnych w województwie opolskim. Praca ma chara…

Self-employment duration in urban and rural locations

2009

Previous research has shown that local environment is important for self-employment. Self-employment dynamics varies between areas characterized by different labour market conditions, entrepreneurial tradition and other structural factors. Alternation between different labour market states (self-employment, paid-employment, non-employment) is also likely to increase if employment opportunities remain low in local labour market markets. This paper analyses the factors influencing the duration of self-employment spells in Finland with a large registered-based data set from the period of 1987-2002. It is evident that rates of exit out of self-employment and the length of self-employment spells…

Ekonomia współdzielenia (Sharing Economy) jako narzędzie kreowania Smart City

2018

Between-group competition and human cooperation.

2008

A distinctive feature of human behaviour is the widespread occurrence of cooperation among unrelated individuals. Explaining the maintenance of costly within-group cooperation is a challenge because the incentive to free ride on the efforts of other group members is expected to lead to decay of cooperation. However, the costs of cooperation can be diminished or overcome when there is competition at a higher level of organizational hierarchy. Here we show that competition between groups resolves the paradigmatic ‘public goods’ social dilemma and increases within-group cooperation and overall productivity. Further, group competition intensifies the moral emotions of anger and guilt associated…

Społeczne uwarunkowania rozwoju ekonomii społecznej w regionalnej społeczności (na przykładzie Opolszczyzny)

2015

The aim of my article is to give an analysis of selected social factors that have influenced the implementation of the Opole Program for Social Economy Development, which was created to answer the needs and problems of the region. The resources of human and social assets of disadvantaged groups in Opole region, which are the key to social economy projects success as a regional and local development factor, have been found to be insufficient and limited (transmission of poverty, welfare dependency, negative attitudes towards work). It is for these reasons that the success of the program will be above all determined by the actions taken to raise the level of knowledge and public awareness not…
