L’apport et la mise en œuvre de la méthode des choix discrets pour analyser les préférences individuelles

En prenant appui sur deux recherches ayant utilisé la méthode des choix discrets, nous présenterons l’objectif, la logique générale et l’apport de cette méthode. Nous préciserons les différentes étapes nécessaires pour mettre en place de telles enquêtes ainsi que les méthodes économétriques possibles pour exploiter les données collectées et estimer les préférences des répondants.

In this article we suppose that the integration of accessibility and neighborhood variables in hedonic housing models doesn't allow to take into account the spatial effects between the housing prices. Using a sample of 1520 transactions of apartments in the urban area of Dijon, we focus on two types of location variables : the distance to the CBD and the distance to several Disadvantaged Districts located in peripheral areas. We detect the presence of a spatial error autocorrelation in the hedonic model indicating that the valuation of the price of an apartment is locally influenced by the prices of the neighboring apartments. In this paper we analyse the effect of constitutional structures over policy outcomes. In particular, we exploit the heterogeneity in parliamentary systems deriving from the presence and the use of the confidence vote to investigate whether stable and unstable parliamentary systems behave differently in terms of the policies they implement. This finer partition of parliamentary systems allows us to identify effects that are more robust than the ones previously discussed in the literature. Multilevel analysis are a recent development of mathematical modelling, adapted to the problem of ecological analysis in social sciences, in other words capable of producing the effects of surroundings on individuals' behaviour. One of the ideal fields for multilevel analysis is in the educational sector, where students' learning takes place in particular class and on particular premises. This article is concerned with a comparison between the classical treatment and the multilevel treatment of the problem of ecological analysis, from both a theorical and an empirical results point of view.

International mobility by French higher education graduates on entering the labour market: is it worth it once they return home?The construction of European graduate labour market, through increased international graduate mobility, cannot take place without it appearing beneficial forgraduates. Indeed, all types of mobility have a cost, even if the latter is not always financial (leaving family, adapting to a new environment, etc.).
