Aim: To evaluate the 10-year treatment outcomes and cost-effectiveness of adolescents' mental health treatment initiated under the social network-oriented open dialogue (OD) approach. -- Methods: This longitudinal register-based study included all persons who, for the first time, received psychiatric treatment in Finland during the period 1 January 2003–31 December 2008, and who were aged 13–20 at onset (n = 44 868). Krūts vēža attīstība Latvijā pēc valsts krūts vēža skrīninga programmas ieviešanas

Latvijā sieviešu saslimstība un mirstība no krūts vēža ieņem pirmo vietu starp visiem ļaundabīgiem audzējiem. Katru gadu saslimšana tiek pirmreizēji reģistrēta aptuveni 1100 pacientēm un ikgadu no krūts vēža mirst vairāk nekā 400 sievietes. Kopš 2009. gadā Latvijā darbojas valsts krūts vēža skrīnings ar mērķi uzlabot krūts vēža agrīnu diagnostiku, tomēr vidēji 32 % gadījumos krūts vēzis tiek diagnosticēts novēloti slimības III un IV stadijā (SPKC, 2017). Darba tēma ir aktuāla un darba rezultāti ļauj sniegt rekomendācijas agrīnas diagnostikas uzlabošanai un skrīninga programmas uzlabošanai. Electrophysiological evidence for the effectiveness of images versus text in warnings

AbstractWarning sign plays an important role in risk avoidance. Many studies have found that images are better warnings than text, while others have revealed flaws of image-only warning signs. To better understand the factors underlying the effectiveness of different types of warning signs (image only, text only, or image and text), this study adopted event-related potential technology to explore the differences at the neurocognitive level using the oddball paradigm and the Go/No-go paradigm. Arteterapia w oddziaływaniach resocjalizacyjnych - w opiniach skazanych, pracowników Służby Więziennej i studentów pedagogiki resocjalizacyjnej

Autorka zaprezentowała problematykę zastosowania arteterapii w oddziaływaniach resocjalizacyjnych w kontekście trzech grup opinii: pracowników służby więziennej odbywających szkolenia z zakresu arteterapii, skazanych uczestniczących w zajęciach arteterapeutycznych w zakładach karnych, a także studentów kierunku pedagogika resocjalizacyjna, którzy przygotowując się do wykonywania zawodu, mają możliwość podczas studiów nabyć wiedzę i doświadczenie dotyczące możliwości zastosowania arteterapii w projektowaniu działań resocjalizacyjnych dla osób nieprzystosowanych społecznie. Całość dopełniają doniesienia z badań znanych polskich naukowców.

Uwarunkowania skuteczności pracy współczesnego nauczyciela

Skuteczność działania nauczyciela jest zawsze uwarunkowana wieloma bardzo różnorodnymi czynnikami. Niewątpliwie jednak o efektywności jego pracy w dużym stopniu decyduje zastoso-wanie środków dydaktycznych, w tym nowoczesnych narzędzi, np. mediów masowych i technologii opartych na działaniu komputera. W artykule przedstawiono opinie nauczycieli szkół podstawo-wych na temat znaczenia właśnie takich pomocy dla osiągania celów edukacyjnych w realizowa-nym przez nich procesie dydaktyczno-wychowawczym.
