Abstract The Container Drayage Problem (CDP) aims at routing a fleet of trucks, based at a common terminal, to serve customers while minimizing the total travel distance. Each trip starts from and ends at the terminal, and handles a subset of customers. Each customer requires either that a container is picked up or delivered. We introduce a more realistic variant, i.e., the Multi-trip Multi-period CDP with Release and Due Dates (MM-CDP-RDD), in which the planning horizon is composed of several periods (days). Efficient analysis of waveguide filters by the integral equation technique and the BI-RME method

This paper presents the study of rectangular waveguide filters with rounded corners in the cross-section of the waveguides. These components are suitable for low-cost mass production and can be rigorously analyzed by efficient CAD tools. The analysis approach described in this paper is based on the integral equation technique in conjunction with the boundary integral-resonant mode expansion method. The main contribution of this thesis consists on the proposition and development a Model-driven Engineering (MDE) framework, in tandem with a component-based approach, for facilitating the design and implementation of Dynamic Partially Reconfigurable (DPR) Systems-on-Chip. The proposed methodology has been constructed around the Metadata-based Composition Framework paradigm, and based on common standards such as UML MARTE and the IEEE IP-XACT standard, an XML representation used for storing metadata about the IPs to be reused and of the platforms to be obtained at high-levels of abstraction. The Computer Control Software for MAMI

The computer control system of the Mainz Microtron is designed to keep track with the modular and step-by-step construction of the three accelerator stages. The system is up to now based on two loosely coupled HP1000 minicomputers, interfaced via CAMAC to the accelerator components and to the operator desk. The control software is divided into several layers of portable processes distributed to both computers. Communication between the processes, access to the data bank and the routing of CAMAC interrupts are handled via a message system which operates with symbolic addresses.
Density flow over networks: A mean-field game theoretic approach

A distributed routing control algorithm for dynamic networks has recently been presented in the literature. The networks were modeled using time evolution of density at network edges and the routing control algorithm allowed edge density to converge to a Wardrop equilibrium, which was characterized by an equal traffic density on all used paths. We borrow the idea and rearrange the density model to recast the problem within the framework of mean-field games. The contribution of this paper is three-fold. Two-phase routing in three-dimensional blocked optical tori

The contribution of this paper is an all-optical 3D network architecture. We describe scheduled, two-phase routing for it. The three-dimensional blocked optical torus BOT of block size b consists of b2 × b2 × b2 nodes for the first phase routing. Processors are evenly deployed at the underlying torus so that every bth node consists of a processor. Additionally, a BOT consists of b3 blocks of b × b × b subnetworks for the second phase routing. Computer aided scheduling and routing of vehicle-carrier fleet—a case study

This paper presents a case study of development of an information system for a large enterprise from vehicle-transport industry. A novel optimization model and algorithms developed to solve scheduling and routing of vehicle-carrier fleet are presented and discussed. Carried out qualitative experiments confirmed the usability of developed user-guided search paradigm and high performance of autonomous algorithmic solution search methods.
