Kielitietoisuusvalmennukset ammatillisessa koulutuksessa – KIELO-hankkeen kokemuksia

Opetushallituksen rahoittama KIELO – kielitietoinen ohjaus ammatillisessa koulutuksessa ja työelämässä -hanke on kukoistanut jo yli puolitoista vuotta. Hankkeeseen osallistuvat Aikuiskoulutus Taitaja, Business College Helsinki, Careeria, Haaga-Helia Ammatillinen opettajakorkeakoulu ja Luksia, Länsi-Uudenmaan koulutuskuntayhtymä. Hankkeen alkuvaiheessa noin vuosi sitten Kieli, koulutus ja yhteiskunta -verkkolehdessä julkaistiin Tuija Arolan ja Marianne Sepän artikkeli kielitietoisuudesta ammatillisessa koulutuksessa. Vieraskielisten määrä Suomessa kasvaa jatkuvasti, ja tämä näkyy voimakkaasti myös ammatillisessa koulutuksessa. Ammatillisen koulutuksen reformin myötä yhä suurempi osa ammatin oppimisesta siirtyy työpaikolle. Uusi ammatillinen koulutus tuo uudenlaisia haasteita ohjaukselle. Functional neuroimaging allows investigation of the timing properties of the brain mechanisms underlying covert language processing. This paper presents a review of the use of the neuroimaging technique called Event-Related Potentials (ERPs) in sign language (SL) research. In the field of neurolinguistics, ERPs have been widely used in the study of spoken language, but their use in SL is still rare.
