Abstract This paper describes an image acquisition and a processing system based on a new coprocessor architecture designed for CMOS sensor imaging. The system exploits the full potential CMOS selective access imaging technology because the coprocessor unit is integrated into the image acquisition loop. Implementing an embedded system to identify possible COVID-19 suspects using thermovision cameras

The main goal of this paper is to prove that by combining thermal vision cameras and image processing with many deep learning classification algorithms we developed an effective embedded system with high applicability in this critical period caused by COVID-19 pandemic disease. Using fixed and mobile thermal cameras we envisioned and developed a real time temperature screening capable of sending alarm signals over network or by SMS to local authorities along with multiple detection metrics such as the age, the gender, the facial emotion, the GPS location where the alarm went off, the temperature reading from the human face and also if the subject is wearing or not a medical face mask.

In this demo, we prove that the flexibility supported by off-the-shelf IEEE 802.11 hardware can be significantly extended if we move the control of the MAC programming interface from the driver to the firmware, i.e. from the host CPU to the card CPU. The aim of the study was to develop a prototype system of the smart garment for real time telemetric monitoring of human cardiovascular activity. Two types of photoplethysmography (PPG) sensors for low noise and artefact free signal recording from various sites of the human body that were suitable for integration into smart textile were investigated. The reflectance sensors with single and multiple photodiodes based on "pulse-duration-based signal conversion" signal acquisition principle were designed and evaluated.
