Towards human exploration of space: the THESEUS review series on cardiovascular, respiratory, and renal research priorities

International audience; The THESEUS project (Towards Human Exploration of Space: aEUropean Strategy) was initiated within the seventh FrameworkProgramme by the European Commission. This project aimed toprovide a cross-cutting, life science-based roadmap for Europe’sstrategy towards human exploration of space, especially for deepspace missions and its relevance to applications on Earth. Toaddress these challenges, relevance of space research on thecardiovascular system, the lungs and kidneys, was discussed in anexpert group and its principal conclusions will be presented in thisarticle.

Skills Behind the Robotics : How to Re-educate Workers for the Future

The aim of this study is to respond to the educational needs of the future, considering automation and robotics. It is inevitable that automation and robotics are changing our lives and they create challenges for the future work life and education. In this study, we investigate what is the educational background of the unemployed people who are in danger of being replaced by automation and what is their educational resilience for adapting work life changes. The data of this study consist of the latest PIAAC data (The Programme for the International Assessment of Adult Competencies). Based on the research we develop a model for re-educating the people who have lost their jobs. peerReviewed

This article provides scholars of nonreligion and secularism with an introduction to some of the major opportunities and challenges associated with the growing application of computational methods to the phenomena they study. It also illustrates these opportunities and challenges by describing several overlapping research projects and some of the models of (non)religion they have produced. Results from cognitive neuroscience have been cited as evidence in courtrooms around the world, and their admissibility has been a challenge for the legal system. Unfortunately, the recent reproducibility crisis in cognitive neuroscience, showing that the published studies in cognitive neuroscience may not be as trustworthy as expected, has made the situation worse. Abstract In a previous study we have researched the causes of the current global crisis, which manifests itself in financial terms, but whose origin is due to the ethical model of reference. Following these ethical issues, the aims and topics of the present paper are: producing a systematic analysis of the ethical indicators used in the current international practices; extrapolating the ethical ranking models with a high relevance in Business Economics and highlighting the strong limits of the methodology in current use.
Approaching risk management from a new integrated perspective

In recent years, risk management has acquired increasing relevance within the organizational realm. Although the Integrated Reporting Framework includes ‘risk’ as one of the content elements of the Integrated Report, its main purpose does not specifically relate to risk management. Drawing on the evolving academic debate, this chapter aims to provide an overview of the different approaches to risk management and to highlight the need for a broader and integrated perspective. The chapter ends by highlighting the potential contribution of this perspective to the Integrated Reporting Framework.

In recent years advances in computational modeling and social simulation technologies have enabled scientists to identify some of the conditions under which – and the mechanisms by which – conflict and cooperation within and across human cultures are likely to emerge.
