"Yksin en selviäisi" : lonkan tekonivelleikattujen kokemuksia kotona selviytymisestä

Tämän fenomenologisen pro gradu -tutkielman tarkoituksena oli kuvata ja ymmärtää lonkan tekonivelleikkauksen läpikäyneiden henkilöiden omakohtaisia kokemuksia ja niiden merkityksiä kotona selviytymisestä kolmen kuukauden kuluttua leikkauksesta. Suomessa tehdään vuosittain 7 500 lonkan tekonivelleikkausta ja väestön ikääntyessä leikkausten määrät tulevat lisääntymään. Fysioterapialla on keskeinen osuus lonkan tekonivelleikatun kuntoutusprosessissa. Tämän vuoksi fysioterapian vaikuttavuuden selvittäminen on perusteltua ja tutkimuksissa on tarpeellista ottaa huomioon myös lonkan tekonivelleikkauksen läpikäyneiden henkilöiden omat kokemukset. This article describes a project called “The art based methods in developing transversal competence” funded by The Finnish National Board of Education. The article is based on the hermeneutic phenomenological approach in action research. Measurement of the top quark charge in pp collisions at sqrt(s) = 7 TeV with the ATLAS detector

2013

A measurement of the top quark electric charge is carried out in the ATLAS experiment at the Large Hadron Collider using 2.05 fb[superscript −1] of data at a centre-of-mass energy of 7 TeV. In units of the elementary electric charge, the top quark charge is determined to be 0.64 ± 0.02 (stat.) ± 0.08 (syst.) from the charges of the top quark decay products in single lepton t[¯ over t] candidate events. This excludes models that propose a heavy quark of electric charge −4/3, instead of the Standard Model top quark, with a significance of more than 8σ.

To efficiently lower virus infectivity and combat virus epidemics or pandemics, it is important to discover broadly acting antivirals. Here, we investigated two naturally occurring polyphenols, Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and Resveratrol (RES), and polyphenol-functionalized nanoparticles for their antiviral efficacy. Concentrations in the low micromolar range permanently inhibited the infectivity of high doses of enteroviruses (107 PFU/mL). The wine industry generates a great amount of waste every year, thus its valorization is of most importance. This study uses red, fermented pomace from Cabernet Sauvignon and Feteasca Neagra cultivars. The phenolic compounds were extracted using four different extractions and the content of total polyphenols was determined using a spectrophotometrical method. Several phenolic compounds were analyzed using an HPLC method. Husserl's Transcendentalization of Mathematical Naturalism

Abstract The paper aims to capture a form of naturalism that can be found “built-in” in phenomenology, namely the idea to take science or mathematics on its own, without postulating extraneous normative “molds” on it. The paper offers a detailed comparison of Penelope Maddy’s naturalism about mathematics and Husserl’s approach to mathematics in Formal and Transcendental Logic (1929).
