The purpose of this study is to identify the obstacles that are hindering organizational environmental communication among the target group in the case company. After identifying obstacles, this thesis tries to find solutions to improve organizational environmental communication and knowledge sharing among the target group. Case company in this study is ICT-sector company and the target group consists of engineers that are working mainly with datacenters. This study uses qualitative methods. The present investigation addresses the gravity of mispronunciation for the intelligibility of English spoken by L1 Finland-Swedish teenagers. Previous research on the topic has been scarce, and even though there is some knowledge about the typical pronunciation challenges faced by this learner group, there is hardly any empirical research on the extent to which the typical mispronunciations actually cause misunderstandings. To investigate this, speech samples were elicited from teenaged L1 Finland-Swedish learners of English, demonstrating typical mispronunciations. Is Broad the New Deep in Environmental Ethics? A Comparison of Broad Ecological Justice and Deep Ecology

I argue in this article that a theory of broad ecological justice or the extended capabilities approach, an interesting approach in contemporary environmental ethics, shares many of its core ideas with deep ecology and Arne Næss’s ecosophy T. The similarities between these approaches include the ambition to address the roots of environmental problems, emphasis on recognition and the criticism of oppressive structures, and a systemic orientation. Acknowledging these similarities illustrates the contemporary value of the deep ecology movement. Mining and related industries are a major source of metal pollution. In contrast to the well-studied effects of ex-posure to metals on animal physiology and health, the impacts of environmental metal pollution on the gut mi-crobiota of wild animals are virtually unknown. Ihmisväestön kasvu valtaa jatkuvasti lisää pinta-alaa luonnontilaisilta alueilta. Ympäristön muuttuminen urbaanimmaksi vähentää luonnonvaraisten eläinten elintilaa merkittävästi, ja eläinten yhdeksi vaihtoehdoksi tarjoutuu uusien elinalueiden etsiminen urbaanista ympäristöstä. Osa eläimistä kykeneekin sopeutumaan urbaaneihin ekosysteemeihin. Urbaanissa elinympäristössä, kuten luonnossakin, on toisinaan tyhjiä ekolokeroita ja näiden ekolokeroiden täyttäminen sekä urbaanien alueiden kolonisoiminen on erityisesti pienille ja runsaslukuisille linnuille ja nisäkkäille mahdollista.
