Technical and economical comparison between NdFeB and hard ferrites linear electrical generators from sea waves

In this paper the authors perform a technical-economic comparison of two different Tubular Permanent Magnet Linear Machines for sea waves generation by using finite elements analysis. The first configuration includes ferrite rings while the second configuration includes neodymium-iron-boron rings. In order to compare the two types in economic and technical terms, a detailed analysis of the main figures of merit of the two configurations has been carried out. In particular, significant data such as flux distribution, rated voltage and current, axial force, electric power, realization cost and maintenance cost have been compared.

New orbital ephemerides for the dipping source 4U 1323-619: Constraining the distance to the source

4U 1323-619 is a low mass X-ray binary system that shows type I X-ray bursts and dips. The most accurate estimation of the orbital period is 2.941923(36) hrs and a distance from the source that is lower than 11 kpc has been proposed. We aim to obtain the orbital ephemeris, the orbital period of the system, as well as its derivative to compare the observed luminosity with that predicted by the theory of secular evolution. We took the advantage of about 26 years of X-ray data and grouped the selected observations when close in time. Ten pozyskiwany z Pelargonium graveolens jest jedną z najbardziej cenionych substancji dla różnych gałęzi przemysłu, takich jak: kosmetyczna, mydlarska, perfumeryjna, aromaterapeutyczna, spożywcza czy medyczna.
