Performance of Lead-Acid Batteries with Nanostructured Electrodes at Different Temperature
2018
In this work we present innovative lead-acid batteries with nanostructured electrodes, which are cycled in a wide range of temperatures typically of lead-acid commercial batteries (EN 61427-1: 2013). In comparison to parameters usually used to commercial batteries, much more stressful conditions in terms of cut-off, charge/discharge rate and discharge were imposed.

Innovative technologies for temporary architecture
2009
Problem risen from temporariness and flexibility concepts of built concern, always constituted, all over technological advanced countries and throughout the whole history of scientific research, some of the most interesting aspects of technologies, industry and industrialization processes. Several project proposals about really light structures easily gatherable, transportable, that can be dismantled and reconverted, are proves of that such as their use in order to obtain flexible and functional living solutions. They are systems adaptable to different needs and fit to offer a concrete solution for the necessities related to the new ways of living. In fact temporary buildings that were thou…
2016
The Territory of the Princely Residence of Vix (Côte-d'Or, France): a Geomorphological Approach In the northwestern area of the Alps, the end of the Hallstatt period was characterized by an uncommon social phenomenon illustrated by rich tombs near fortified sites on top of hills, and by an expansion of the territory. Archaeologists represent these territories in the shape of a circle with a radius of 20-25 km. Yet this model needed to be refined by taking into account the sites' natural environment. A test has been administered using the data of the princely residence of Vix.

2011
By discussing the concept of development itself, authors propose two synthetic indexes relying on estimation of potential: Development Space Value and Development Space Creation Under the weak hypothesis that any successful development improves future possibilities, changes in potential are a good development measure. In their path, authors show how development space is tied with freedom: a shrink in it results mechanically in indexes fall. So, "sustainable" and "economic" become two sides of same piece rather than enemies. Reliable in simulations, the approach is to be tested in real conditions, to verify full data availability and to secure calculating methods.
Adolescent Health Literacy and Neighbourhood Features: HBSC Findings from Czech Republic, Poland, and Slovakia
2021
The role of supportive environments on health, wellbeing, and longevity has been widely recognized. However, there is no strong empirical evidence on the association between health literacy (HL) as a particular health-related competence and neighbourhoods. Therefore, the aim of the study was to assess the association between the features of neighbourhoods and the level of HL competencies of young people from three countries (Czech Republic, Poland, Slovakia). Self-reported data from an international sample of 11,521 students aged 13–15 years participating in the Health Behaviour in School-aged Children Study (HBSC) in the year 2018 were included in the analyses. The level of HL shows a stro…
