New developments in teaching led to the design of an experimental e-learning course in Slovak based on the philosophy of dynamic learning and using the metaphor of climbing a mountain for learning Slovak. In this study, we looked at the competencies and changes in the competency spectrum required for global start-ups in the digital age. Specifically, we explored intergenerational collaboration as an intervention in which experienced business-people from senior adult groups support young entrepreneurs. We conducted a Delphi study with 20 experts from different disciplines, considering the study context. Performance analysis of Latvian zenith camera

Since finalizing of design in 2016, the digital zenith camera of the University of Latvia was involved in a number of test observations as well as field observations at about 70 different sites. The paper presents analysis of observation results, estimation of instrument’s performance and accuracy. Random and systematic error sources are outlined. Impact of anomalous refraction on vertical deflection determination is discussed. Results of adaptation of GAIA reference star catalog for astrometric data reduction are reported.

Aim We propose a novel approach that considers taxonomic uniqueness, functional uniqueness and environmental uniqueness and show how it can be used in guiding conservation planning. Aiemmat tutkimukset ovat osoittaneet vastakkainasettelun luokassa ja luokan ulkopuolella tapahtuvassa kielenkäytössä ja oppimisessa. Tässä artikkelissa tarkastelen neljää amerikkalaista suomenoppijaa ja sitä, miten he hakeutuvat aktiivisina toimijoina itsenäisiin suomen kielen käyttötilanteisiin. Artikkelin aineistona on portfoliotehtävä, jossa oppijat ovat dokumentoineet ja reflektoineet itsenäistä, luokkahuoneen ulkopuolella tapahtuvaa kielenkäyttöään.
