The 2010/2011 report was produced under the auspices of the national research programme „National Identity”. The job of the report is to survey the content of individual national belonging in the context of human development. The report particularly focuses on emigration issues, because human development is weakened by a reduction in the size of the country’s population. Impact of Trade Area Environment on Bank’s Comparative Advantages

This paper analyzes the relationship between the comparative advantages of bank branches and the trade area environment. Bank branches are points of sale whose trade environment influences their activities and performance. Comparative advantages are defined, for each output mix, by the strict dominance of a production technology in a specific trade area over the production technologies of other environments. Using Shephard’s output distance functions on a sample of 728 bank branches, we compare the production technologies for different output mixes and different trade environments. Šajā darbā es plaši strādāju ar terminiem „Sieviete“ un „Jaunā Sieviete“ . Šī bakalaura darba mērķis ir izpētīt periodu starp "Zelta divdesmitajiem", un no tā izrietošo ekonomisko krīzi un līdz 20. gds trīsdesmitajiem gadiem. The #metoo movement reaching academia and Applied Linguistics creates a need for discussion on how we as scholars react to oppressive ideologies and behaviors in our community. However, this is not merely a question of processing cases of sexual harassment and assault. More deeply, we need conversations on who we do and do not know, read, and cite, and how to make our field more epistemologically equitable.
