Tässä kyselytutkimuksessa (N=1000) selvitettiin koronavirusepidemiasta johtuvien rajoitusten vaikutusta työikäisten (18-65 vuotta) suomalaisten kuluttajien käyttäytymiseen arjessa sekä koronarajoitusten vaikutusta heidän taloudelliseen tilanteeseensa ja koettuun hyvinvointiin. Lisäksi tutkittiin kuluttajien arviota kulutuksesta rajoitusten purkaannuttua. Tutkimustuloksista käy ilmi, että valtaosa vastaajista koki koronarajoitukset tarpeellisiksi. Vain harvat ajattelivat, että arkea rajoittavista määräyksistä, kuten kauppojen ja palvelujen aukiolojen rajoituksista tai liikkumisrajoituksista oli suurta haittaa. The study investigated the influence of resilience and dispositional optimism on, first, emotional distress and, second, the intention to self-isolate, experienced by people with a lower and higher illness risk, during the lockdown imposed in Spain during the first COVID-19 wave. To efficiently lower virus infectivity and combat virus epidemics or pandemics, it is important to discover broadly acting antivirals. Here, we investigated two naturally occurring polyphenols, Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) and Resveratrol (RES), and polyphenol-functionalized nanoparticles for their antiviral efficacy. Concentrations in the low micromolar range permanently inhibited the infectivity of high doses of enteroviruses (107 PFU/mL).
