Microscopic quasiparticle-phonon description of odd-mass127−133Xeisotopes and their β decay

Quasiparticle-phonon equations of motion are solved starting from a microscopic realistic many-body Hamiltonian. In this microscopic quasiparticle-phonon model (MQPM) the relevant part of the three-quasiparticle Hilbert space may possibly be taken into account even in calculations using large single-particle bases. As an example, the MQPM is applied to the calculation of energy levels and Fermi and Gamow-Teller beta-decay transition amplitudes for transitions between odd-mass ${}^{127\ensuremath{-}133}\mathrm{Xe}$, ${}^{127\ensuremath{-}133}\mathrm{I}$, and ${}^{127\ensuremath{-}133}\mathrm{Cs}$ isotopes. Translationally-Invariant Coupled-Cluster Method for Finite Systems

The translational invariant formulation of the coupled-cluster method is presented here at the complete SUB(2) level for a system of nucleons treated as bosons. The correlation amplitudes are solution of a non-linear coupled system of equations. These equations have been solved for light and medium systems, considering the central but still semi-realistic nucleon-nucleon S3 interaction.
Combining spectral and shock-capturing methods: A new numerical approach for 3D relativistic core collapse simulations

We present a new three-dimensional general relativistic hydrodynamics code which is intended for simulations of stellar core collapse to a neutron star, as well as pulsations and instabilities of rotating relativistic stars. Contrary to the common approach followed in most existing three-dimensional numerical relativity codes which are based in Cartesian coordinates, in this code both the metric and the hydrodynamics equations are formulated and solved numerically using spherical polar coordinates. Plausible explanation for theΔ5/2+(2000)puzzle

From a Faddeev calculation for the $\ensuremath{\pi}$-$(\ensuremath{\Delta}\ensuremath{\rho}){}_{{N}_{5/{2}^{\ensuremath{-}}}(1675)}$ system we show the plausible existence of three dynamically generated $I({J}^{P})=3/2(5/{2}^{+})$ baryon states below 2.3 GeV, whereas only two resonances, ${\ensuremath{\Delta}}_{5/{2}^{+}}(1905)(****)$ and ${\ensuremath{\Delta}}_{5/{2}^{+}}(2000)(**),$ are cataloged in the Particle Data Book Review. Our results give theoretical support to data analyses extracting two distinctive resonances, ${\ensuremath{\Delta}}_{5/{2}^{+}}(~$1740) and ${\ensuremath{\Delta}}_{5/{2}^{+}}(~$2200), from which the mass of ${\ensuremath{\Delta}}_{5/{2}^{+}}(2000)(**)$ is estima…
Three-body resonances in two-meson-one-baryon systems

We report four $\Sigma$'s and three $\Lambda$'s, in the 1500 - 1800 MeV region, as two meson - one baryon S-wave $(1/2)^+$ resonances. We solve Faddeev equations in the coupled channel approach. The invariant mass of one of the meson-baryon pairs and that of the three particles have been varied and peaks in the squared three body $T$-matrix have been found very close to the existing $S$ = -1, $J^P= 1/2^+$ low lying baryon resonances. The input two-body $t$-matrices for meson-meson and meson-baryon interaction have been calculated by solving the Bethe-Salpeter equation with the potentials obtained in the chiral unitary approach.
States of $ \rho$ B* $ \bar{{B}}^{{*}}_{}$ with J = 3 within the fixed center approximation to Faddeev equations

We study the interaction of the a $\rho$ and $D^*$, $\bar D^*$ with spins aligned using the Fixed Center Approximation to the Faddeev equations. We select a cluster of $D^* \bar D^*$, which is found to be bound in $I=0$ and can be associated to the X(3915), and let the $\rho$ meson orbit around the $D^*$ and $\bar D^*$. In this case we find an $I=1$ state with mass around 4340 MeV and narrow width of about 50 MeV. We also investigate the case with a cluster of $\rho D^*$ and let the $\bar D^*$ orbit around the system of the two states. The $\rho D^*$ cluster is also found to bind and leads to the $D^*_2(2460)$ state. The addition of the extra $\bar D^*$ produces further binding and we find,…
FlexibleSUSY - a meta spectrum generator for supersymmetric models

FlexibleSUSY is a software package that takes as input descriptions of (non-)minimal supersymmetric models written in Wolfram/Mathematica and generates a set of spectrum generator libraries and executables, with the aid of SARAH. The design goals are precision, reliability, modularity, speed, and readability of the code. The boundary conditions are independent C++ objects that are plugged into the boundary value problem solver together with the model objects. This clean separation makes it easy to adapt the generated code for individual projects. The current status of the interface and implementation is sketched.
Unstable massive tau-neutrinos and primordial nucleosynthesis

The impact of unstable Majorana tau neutrinos on primordial nucleosynthesis is considered. The mass and lifetime of nu_tau are taken in the intervals 0.1-20 MeV and 0.001-400 sec respectively. The studied decay modes are nu_tau -> nu_mu + phi and nu_tau -> nu_e + phi, where phi is a massless (or light) scalar. Integro-differential kinetic equations are solved numerically without any simplifying assumptions. Our results deviate rather strongly from earlier calculations. Depending on mass, lifetime, and decay channels of the nu_tau, the number of effective neutrino species (found from He4), in addition to the 3 standard ones, varies from -2 to +2.5.
